I am not sure I actually understand this completely. Is the admin supposed to setup a member’s gallery for each member or are they supposed to be able to add it themselves   Huh

Well I don’t seem to be able to do much with this feature at all. I add a new category from my manage category area. I then select member’s albums for it and save. I now cannot see this area from any of my screens at all  Huh

Ok I see that as an admin I could add my gallery from the option at the top right of the gallery section. However the members don’t have this option. See second attachment of members view of this area.

You need to give them permission for each membergroup.

Under Admin -> Permissions -> Modify a group. Then give the SMF Gallery permissions needed.

Ok I updated my ManagePermissions.php and ran maintenance in my admin cp and now the normal members can add his own gallery. However I don’t see any reference to members galleries in my ManagePermissions area, is this correct?  Huh

Ok I have another problem. If I edit one of my images and want to move it into another area I now have the two areas that I created and got lost earlier DirtRider and DaveM. I cannot find them anywhere to delete them.

Also now I cannot seem to find a way to move my image into my personal gallery as it is not listed on the dropdown menu. If I select members galleries it gets lost and does not add it to my personal gallery

Do not select member galleries that cause the picture to have no parent.

Ok but how do I delete the other two in the drop down menu DirtRider and DaveM.

So is it not possible to move one of my images from the general galleries to my personal gallery  Huh  I would think that if you are not allowed to move it to the member’s gallery then it should not show in the list. This will cause endless problems with members selecting this and the photo gets lost    Huh

You can move them back and forth. Just the member galleries should not be visible in that list... Since it is a fake category and not a real category to contain pictures.

Only admins are allowed to move a picture from one gallery to another gallery.

1.   How do I delete DirtRider & DaveM

Please see attached image DirtRider & DaveM. Now these two categories can only be seen in the drop down menu and nowhere else. I need to delete them and cannot.

2.   How do members move images into their member’s galleries?

Please see attached image edit. My members have full editing privileges on their images. So if they upload an image into an area and then want to move it into their member gallery they cannot.  In the drop down menu members gallery will appear. However if you select this option the image will be lost?

1. You should be able to go the member's gallery category on the main gallery index then switch to that user's gallery index and delete the categories from there.

2. User's are not allowed to move images from the main gallery to the personal gallery currently this is admin only option.

I am not able to do it as above. Maybe you should come and have a look at this and see what I am doing wrong here.

Sorry this does not seem to work. Have a look at the attached “Gallery03 Jun. 30 07.43” I see no option here to delete these two categories

I also do not see any place in the “manage categories to do this see “Gallery04 Jun. 30 07.43” as they are not listed here at all

However the categories can be seen in the drop down menus when editing am image see “Gallery05 Jun. 30 07.45” Also note this is not the same DaveM as shown in the “Gallery03 Jun. 30 07.43” This one was created by using the option on the top left of the gallery [MyGallery] MyImages] [Search]

Also see DirtRider appearing in drop down menu when editing an image see “Gallery06 Jun. 30 07.45”

I can also not see how an admin is able to move an image from the main gallery to a members gallery. If you go into edit and use the drop down menu you only see the option members gallery. If you select this the image is lost as it does not show the members name of there gallery anywhere here see Gallery07 Jun. 30 07.45

In that image those are just a list of members that have created user gallery categories. To remove them from that list you need to click on the membername then delete any categories inside their user gallery.

For moving the pictures it is not actually the category area that you edit it.
Check in picture Gallery06 Jun. 30 07.45.jpg
Under Change Owner there is another link called "Picture Move Options"
This where you move an image between the user gallery and the main gallery and vice versa.

Running out the door this morning otherwise I would look at the other things you said in the post.
