Hi everyone,

So I have a strange problem, only on Internet Explorer (IE).

When I click on the Gallery ling on the top menu, il displays the gallery, but the font size increase from a normal to a big size.... Not the top menu but everything that is after that (left block, main gallery bloc).

If I click on the "Home" again everything is back to a normal font size...

Here is the adress of the website : http://www.clubfiat500.com  and you can log as test user (gallery) with gallery123 as password to see the change of the font size.

Any idea where it could come from ?

PS : everything works perfect with Firefox...

Thanks

I don't think it is something from the gallery. I think it is another script or code on that page or other html tag. I removed all the gallery code from that page and it still had the text size issue.

I have the same issue and it applies to the Gallery, the Store and the Classifieds & Auctions programs and the increased text font size in the tabs causes them to look really funky.  The nav bars affected are the exact same ones in each of the 3 programs.

In FireFox, all font sizes appear smaller, so there's no issue.  But with IE or Avant, the font size was affected significantly in these tabs.

I looked for the CSS for it, but I can't find it in the 3 programs or in the forum css.  I had the same issue with a couple of the forum nav bars as well, and the code which needed to be addressed was in the forum.css file.  The font-size:  code had to be added to those nav bar definitions.  However, I don't know what code defines the tabs affected in the gallery, store and classifieds & auction programs.

Attached are snips of the nav bars.

Thanks!

Here's a LINK.  You'll see the size of the text in the SEARCH tab vs the main tab.

The attachment has a better tab comparison.

I don't mind the size of the text, but as you can see, it wreaks havoc with the tab backgrounds.

I can tell you that the size isn't anywhere near as exaggerated with FireFox.  I also have my main nav bar text font slightly smaller than default: .05em.  But, the Gallery, Store, and Classifieds & Auctions programs are still significantly larger.

Before you go digging into the files:  The snips were taken using Avant browser.  However, a co-admin uses Opera and the same thing happens using it.

With FireFox and IE, the font is a bit bigger, but it doesn't cause any problems with the tab bar width getting jammed-up because of the font size.  It looks normal.

That's why I asked about just changing the font size.

That would be in the style.css of the theme itself

I worked with as many of the css files I could find, but couldn't locate the code which applies to those particular tabs.  Got pretty frustrated not being able to find it.

A pointing finger in the right direction would be greatly appreciated, if you have the time as this affects the same tabs in both the Store and Gallery.

Default theme.

Thanks!

I belive it is the maintab and mirrortab settings I really do not know the CSS well for themes though. All the tabs for the gallery, store use the same styles as the main tabs of SMF.

I'll refer this to the SMF forum.  Just delete this whole topic.

The font size change was in the style.css file - maintab section.  Thank you for your help!

Now that the font size is corrected, I still have the problem with the maintab_first and maintab_last images being too large.

See reply #2 of this topic for the visual of the problem.

I'm sure that's because the text in the maintab_last is forcing it to wrap-around, creating a second line of text because the width of the entire tab line isn't wide enough to accomodate the width of the overall text length.  I don't want to make the text smaller (which I did try anyway) because it gets too hard to read.

I looked in the forum file index.template file, I looked in the store.template file, I lookedi in the css files.  I can find the code which defines the padding, size, etc, within the tabs, but not the code for defining the overall width of all the tabs together.

I could use some help on this as I am totally stumped.
