Download System help

I have downloaded and installed via the admin panal, Download System 1.0.4 on SMF 1.1.5. I can install fine and upload files fine but when I click to download an item it says

That is an issue with mod_security disable it for your forum and it should work.

Looks good needs to be in your site or forums root i think
SecFilterEngine Off  needs to be on its own line

still aint working, so contacted my host and they dont allow it to be turned of as im apparantly on a shared server, bugger, is there any other option??

No any other way. They are blocking ;id= in the url and that is used in many spots
