2 small problems: pixelation & Ratings have dissappeared
« on: August 27, 2008, 07:05:28 pm »
Hi,
I am running:
1.1.5 with Gallery pro
on
php5.2.6
mySQL 5.0.45

I am having two problems:
My gallery is set to create new post when images are upoaded.
1. members are experiencing the interrmitent inclusion of the 'thumbs_' prefix when  loading images, which produces thumbnails in the post at max size. has this been reported? i can find no reference to it.
I had maxe size set to 800x800 and 200kb and have tried incresing max size to 1024x1024 incase larger sized images were causing som kind of re-size fault (resize is set to yes for oversized images) max thumbnail size is set o 120x120 - but why would thumbnails be inseted into the post, and not consistently. the problem comes and goes intermittantly.

2. Yesterday, my image ratings dissappeared. I have run the site maintenance, unchecked, save rechecked save the category rating, but to no avail. If I uninstall and reinstall should the existing data be preserved, and again has this been reported previously?

Any assistance is appreciated

1. I would double check each category setting and check that "Fullsize image in posted topic" is selected if it is not selected it will use the thumbnail image as the image in the post.

2. Image ratings are controlled by a couple factors. First check that the category does not have "Disable Image Ratings" enabled.
Then check under Gallery Configuration -> Settings -> Show rating is checked

Uninstalling and reinstalling saves all data no data or pictures are deleted.

Thank you for the prompt response. I'll check through again - particularly on the individual category settings, there are quite a lot of them.
