virtual products - file size
«

on my two sites, i sell almost all digital products. They are executable file that basically install custom graphics for online poker players.
i seem to have a problem with files once the exceed the 1 MB size. Several (but not all) customers are getting downloads that are corrupted and won't launch. They may be able to get a clean copy after the second or third download attempt (or they may not).
howver, if i provide them with a direct link to the file on the server, they can download it with no issues. i have also noticed the direct links download much quicker than the same files downloaded through the store.
any idea what is going on here or how i might improve download quality?
*please note that this applies to files that have been added into the store using either method - direct form load OR filepath loading

+Added remote file support for downloads inside the Store.
love this, with the exception of it now shows the file size as being 0kb (i assume because it is no longer importing the file into the store)
ultimately, it would be nice if this could be fixed to reflect the actual file size of the remote file
but i would be content if you could point to the php i need to edit to simply
hide file size
in the
My Orders
page

Actually, I haven't seen this issue.. I deal with file sizes that can range up to 100meg.. We haven't had any issues w/ the downloads that I am aware of yet.. which is a good thing.. The issue I am having a problem is when the members who have upload rights try to upload products, they can't, the connection always times out so I had to do an FTP system for a specific file on the server... I would like a better file upload system..
thanks..
