Hi,

I know it's been mentioned before but, The ability to select additional/multiple categories when a uploading an image. So that someone uploading an image to their own gallery can also add the image for example to a site wide gallery/public gallery and save them having to upload it twice.

Also the ability of admin/user to copy an image to another category would be handy.

Thanks

I considered starting a new topic but. . . he said it so well!   :-)

Was this feature ever added?  I can't seem to find it.  Would seem more logical to have images be able to reside in multiple categories like the store does with products.

Is this implemented? I can't find it... and when it's not, could you please add this to 4.0 ?

Thanks Vincent.

Ah, okay... missed that.. sry... but could you make it like it is in the Store? That the user can select the multiple category's before adding/place the image to the gallery? In our gallery it's usual to add the image to different gallery's.....

I see... it is really copying it to the other category.

Hmmmm there will be a lot of space being used over a couple of years... and the image is visible 2 times (last images) when we copy it to an other category.

What you added to the Store is not possible in the gallery? Please see attachment.

Thanks,
Vincent

Possible to do but my main issue is it is going to create a lot of issues for other users.

I can use the single image and have it multiple galleries but have to think about performance, if you delete the image in one gallery it will delete it completely.
Handling of previous/next images.

Ah, okay I understand. And I understand also why you copy it really to an other cat. So I think we keep it the way it is now. No problem. We'll edit the SSI to display only the 'default category' so the image is displayed only once..

Thanks for your answer!! And have a nice weekend!

Vincent
