When you click the thumbnail it just forwards you to another page?
Is there a way to control lightbox in fact?

Lightbox is currently not built into the gallery but we use highslide which produces a similar affect.

The flow goes on the download page. Thumbnail -> Link to new page with medium size image -> Clicking on the medium sized image will bring up the enlarged image using highslide.

Kristof and I run a site together. 

The issue is that clicking the image at the link he provided does not produce a larger image with highslide.  It freezes on the 'loading' screen and stays there.  If you click it again the page reloads showing the full sized image alone.

We are using SMF 2.0 RC2

These are the mods we have installed:

Looks like something with Pretty Urls is causing it to mess up

You are correct.  Disabling Pretty URL's for actions solved it.
