Greetings,
I have this hack working under one theme and it's exactly what I need. However, I need to get it to work in another theme. I'm really new to this stuff and I could use some help. So, dumb question #1: how do I add the rss feed to a different theme?

Specifically, the Pitchblack theme.

I just added this mod and it works fine....so now I am still wondering why the SMF Links mod wont work right.

i have installed a rss reader but when i click to the feed icon it doesnt add the link to my program... need help

This was a reply I received for my problem of adding the little link buttom to a new theme. Worked perfectly!


You will need to edit the BoardIndex.template.php of the theme that you are using.
Open that file
Find
', $board['name'], '</a></b>
Add this after
&nbsp;<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=.xml;board=' . $board['id'] . ';type=rss"><img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/rss.png" alt="rss" /></a>


You will need to copy rss.png to your theme images folder as well.

anybody know how to get IE7 to recognise the feeds? ie so the little orange icon lights up? I have rss enabled and all but the ie7 doesn't recognise the feed...

I installed this MOD and made the changes in the code but now when
I click on the RSS icon I get a Popup telling me something like this:

I have the same error, if you start smf outside of joomla you will see that the rss links are correct
