Once I understood that I had to upload the zip file to my forum it was easy to set up (following the instructions here) and I now have 5 ads running on my forum - at this stage I haven't chosen to sell ads but rather set up the banners I had for affiliate programs I've signed up for. This means the advertising now is targetted to my audience rather than generic google adsense ads.  Thank you.

I can do that edit for you but will need to you to attach this post your index.template.php of your custom  theme.

I'd be very appreciative if you could give me a hand with editing mine as well.  I tried to follow but I'm sure way over my head, and don't want to mess this whole thing up!  Grin

My index.template.php file should be attached, with my many thanks in advance!

Oops!  Installed it, and got a total forum crash, error on screen was "Unable to load the 'main_above' template."  Probably me doing something stupid, but I have no idea what.  Hope you do  Wink

Yep, got it installed in the proper place.  Tried it with 644 and then with 755, but both still throws off the "Unable to load the main-above template.  Rest of the screen is pure white, and no way around it I've found.  I should probably also say that the forum works just fine with the unmodified original, so I'm guessing this must be something directly related to Ad Seller Pro?  Any other ideas on how to fix this greatly appreciated!

Your origina index.template.phpl template file works right?

Do you have AdSeller Pro installed at the moment?

Also check your forum's error log for any possible relalted errors?

Yes, the original file works just fine.  And yes, I did install AdSellerPro.  Only thing showing in the error log was the Unable to Load main-above.

hmm
Try this file. I commented out the Ad Seller Pro code let me know if it works or not.

Also are you using SMF 2.0.2? I saw the template was labeled 2.0 RC2

Hmmmm is right.  It didn't Work!
So I'm guessing that possibly the file I uploaded to you could be corrupted in either my upload or download, so I'm attaching the original file again that IS working here, just in case.  "Cap'n, there be GREMLINS in da code transmission somewhere!"

To answer your other questions, yes I am up on a new install of SMF 2.02.  This is my first time using SMF. I didn't feel confident doing up my own skin, so I bought one that I'm presently using.  Got to have a good looking forum, as well as a well functioning one, right?  It's likely that the guy who did the original template for the skin probably did it some time ago, and started his development on 2.0 RC2.  I sure hope there's not a problem with the skin, but if there is much better to find it out now than way down the road.  Since this is a whole new install, I'm not at all tied to using this skin if you can suggest another real good, clean looking similar skin to consider instead?  One that we know works perfectly with all of your great SMFHacks?

God, I hate to tell you this, but same results.  It kicks off the very same error - Unable to load main-above template.
