Well here goes and I hope I explain this good enough. I have had this installed for a month and now they tell me they are getting errors and I realize that yes it is not downloading. I have turn on the permission for using the the down loader then i took all the perm's i had for the first category out and put them back in for every to do everything. I swear it seems to work some and even might work on one file in IE and not in Firefox.

We get simple message

 "An Error Has Occurred!
You are not allowed to download files"

I get this as admin even for files that have not uploaded. I would think its rights but i have yet to find it. I really like your hacks you make and this is first time i am stumped. The forum is www.rgonotsayz.com/forum and the user name i made is tebian-testing 12345678.

It is the latest version from this thread and I think I have done everything I can. I hope i have explained my problem and appreciate that help.

Check under Admin -> Permissions -> Modify each group
Make sure that each group has the download files permission.

This is a new permission that was added if you upgraded from downloads lite.

Was changed first thing and not the problem as far as I know. It is set for all of the groups.

hmm that's the only area that uses that error message though.
Category level permissions say you are not allowed to download in this category.

Each group should have "Download File" permission.

Is it just in the section with the download manager ? I check the whole page and this is the one section. Thank you btw for you help. Maybe I mess up one of the templates.
