How to Upgrade

I am currently running SMF Gallery Lite version 3.0.2 on my SMF 2.0.2 forum.

I am just doing some maintenance, updating modifications etc. I downloaded the latest SMF Gallery Lite to upgrade with, I uploaded the package and it says:

This package is already installed, and no upgrade was found!

You should uninstall the old version first to avoid problems, or ask the author to create an upgrade from your old version.

Please remember to always make regular backups of your sources and database before installing mods, especially beta versions.

My gallery has about 800 photos in it, so I don't really want to start from fresh. It mentions uninstalling the old one and installing the new one, but I guess this might be for modifications that don't store any information.

Any advice?

You can uninstall. Uninstalling does not delete or remove any data from the gallery.
