Having an issue after changing hosting companies and installing the latest version of SMFGallery Pro.  All our old gallery categories, images, and thumbnails are displayed OK, but new uploads are not.

There is no error for the user and a new entry is created on a page with the title/text/etc, but there is no thumbnail image.  When I check the _gallery_pic table in the MySQL db, it shows entries for the newly added items.  However, I can't locate the corresponding file/thumbnail names in the gallery folder.  After some searching around on this forum and some others, I noticed that the gallery folder is set to 705 for permissions.  Using FileZilla I changed it to 755 and tried again... I got the same thing, but when I went back to check the permissions again it had reverted to 705.  Whenever I change it, it says it applied, but refreshing shows it's back at 705.  I'm guessing this is somehow related to our host (GoDaddy), but I'm not sure what to try next.

Any suggestions (apart from changing hosts) are appreciated.

Thanks

When you changed hosting companies what happend is the galley path changed as well.

Compare the paht under Server Settings -> Sources Path to your gallery path in gallery configuratation should be something like
/home/mysite/public_html/forum/gallery/

Thanks.  I changed the paths for server settings when we changed hosts to match the new schema.  I also set the gallery path the the same after installing it.

sources path = /home/content/##/#######/html/forum/Sources
Gallery path = /home/content/##/#######/html/forum/gallery
Where ##/####### is our specific account folders

That said... thanks because when I added a trailing slash to the gallery path (though the other server settings path aren't like that)... it now appears to be working.

Glad that helped. Yes the ending slash is required.

Also for anyone who may be in the same situation with CHMOD'ing files.  I was able to CHMOD gallery to 755 and get it to "stick" using SSH.
