I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with. I am new to web design (very new) and just added the classifieds to my site but am not 100% sure on how to set it all up the way I'd like.

I did do a search here before asking, but I may have missed what I was looking for.

I guess the first question I have is with Purchasing upgrades. I understand that a member can buy an upgraded posting for adding pictures, but I am unsure as the proper way to set it up so that they get 1 free pic, then have to buy or use credits to be able to add more pics.

The other question I have is I have Auto delete when listing completed, and Auto delete when auction completed both checked but they seem to stay posted just say completed until I manually delete them. How do I get an item to delete after a sale?

Thats about all I can remember to ask at the moment but I'll try to think of what else I was supposed to ask.

Thanks in advance for the help!

What you would do when creating a category in the classifieds set the max images as 1.
Any additional images would need to be purchased.

Make sure autoaccept bit is enabled. Auctions/listings are only marked completed when the win bid/price is accepted by the seller.

Sorry for the extremely late reply. I've been away with work a lot lately.

I did have the max image set at one, but some of the members tried to buy the upgraded pictures and it didn't work for them.

Right now I'm having a bunch of other issues with my forum as GoDaddy messed a lot of stuff up for me, but once that's all straightened out I'll create a temp test user and try to buy place an item in the classifieds and then try buy the upgrades and see what that does. I should have tried that before, but guess that slipped my mind.

Another question though. I've noticed that when people do buy stuff on there that the item says completed but still shows up in the classifieds section. I do have it set to auto delete post when an item sells, but it don't go away until the end of the listings date. Any ideas?

Thanks again!

I've got the same issue with my forum.  The few test auctions I've made that were completed are still showing, despite the auto delete/accept boxes being checked.  I have to move them manually.

All help appreciated, as this is stopping me going 'live' with it!

Thanks!

Edit:-  They all say completed as well.

It looks like we're having the same issue with the completion stuff Tank. I just bought a few items on my forum from a guy, and once he clicked accepted I was able to leave him trader feedback which is good, but the stuff still shows up even though I have delete when completed or whatever it's called is checked.

Any ideas about what I am doing wrong?

No idea, but feedback from anyone is welcome.   Wink

I have 3 completed listings, and they're still showing in the categories, and on the Recently Added feature.  It's confusing my members!   Cheesy

Posted an update which should help with a new autodeleted listings/auctions

2.0.14
!Fixed permission issue on blocks for recent comments and recent bids which could show hidden categories
+Added extra checking if you a forum board is deleted does not affect if you have a classifieds posted to the deleted board using the category autoposting system.
!Allowed auction/listing owners and winning bidders always to have access to listings to view after it has expired or completed.
!Better removing auctions/listings on bid being accepted for auctions/listings
