Hi,

I'm already using the Lite version of the Gallery for testing purposes and I'm thinking on buying the Pro Version but I would like to get some answers to some questions that remain after reading about this mod:

Is it possible to make the Gallery as the enter page of the SMF forum?

Is it possible to set a max of upload number of pics/day by member/membergroup?

Is it possible to set a max number of pics per membergroup?

Is there any filters available to avoid spam/porno?

Does Gallery supports other Themes than the default SMF one?

Does Gallery Pro Mod connects with the Subscriptions feature of SMF 2.0.2?

Will be waiting for the reply.

Thanks.

Not by default you would need to modify the index.php of the root of your forum to show the gallery first.

We have a setting for "Max Images Uploaded per Day by User" so just by member.

We don't have a max number of pics per membergroup setting.
We do have a quota system were you can set the max filespace used for members of a member group

There is captcha for guest comment that are posted. And pictures can marked as mature content as an option

It  should work with all themes but has been developed for the default theme.

Does not integrate with paid subscriptions. But you can setup permissions based on membergroup and category level permissions by membergroup

Some more questions might appear has we start to put things together. Nevertheless, we will be probably be investing on this soon.

I have purchased the Gallery Pro mod.

I have a doubt. Is there any way to order the EXIF info?  Because it's all "messed"up.  On the Settings they look better ordered than on the picture viewing...

I get a "Member Galleries" that I don't want since I want to have own categories where members can upload pics to there.  I do I remove it?

No current way to order exif info without modifying the display emplate code. How do you want to change it?

For the second part is found under Admin -> Gallery Configuration -> Settings -> Layout then uncheck
Show user gallery category on gallery index

The way that is organized on the settings looked ok to me (with for example "Make" before "Model" and other settings after). Not sure why on settings it has a logical order and on the final result it hasn't.

Other questions:
I had the Lite version installed and I installed the Pro over it. Now I have both installed. Should I uninstall the lite?

I would like to use the Pretty URLs mod to have the names of the categories on the links instead of the number. Is that possible? (the mod say that is compatible with Gallery mod)

There is an option to set the image as favorite. Is there any option to see in public who marked the photo as favorite?

Is there an Link/option to see all photos from a member?

I presume you can't set a member as a favorite (to track images posted by him).

I putting all this questions here but if you want me to start posting on the support, just tell me. I'm admin at forums too and I know that admins like things organized.  Wink

Well at this point I would leave it there but you may be missing some permissions. Check under admin -> permissions and modify a group and under SMF Gallery you should have a Personal Gallery permission. If not then attach your sources/managepermissions.php

At the moment I don't think it does names but only numbers for picture links.
Addon found at http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,4336.0.html

At moment no public option.

Yes next to each poster's name on the view picture there is a search icon when clicked shows all their posts.

There is a link called "Notify Member Updates" on the view picture page. If you click that link that user who posted the picture will be added to your watch list and notified when post updates.

I will check this. I do have permissions to set there but I don't see the personal gallery ones...

That would be great but I get this message while installing: "The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF."

Any plans on an update with this feature? Because photos should be already marked as favorite by the member so it should be a question of a kind of search list.

Got it. Thanks!

But if the member also post topics/posts on the forum, it will also notify it too, right?

I've been investigating the mods available and these ones have much interest to what I pretend:

Profile Images - Lists Recent Uploaded Images: http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,691.0.html

Recent Comments Under Recent Posts: http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,468.0.html

Recent Images on overall theme header: http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,163.0.html

Recent Images listing on boardindex next to recent posts: http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,178.0.html

Being them from 2006/2007, do they work in the current version of the Gallery Pro? I don't see it on the options but would be great to see them integrated with it. I tried 2 of them but it gives me "Test Failed" warning while installing.

You might have to  emulate an older version of SMF and attempt to install.

Does not notify only handles uploads in the gallery system

For the addons they should work but if you get a failure notice just let me know which mods and can update them for SMF 2.0

I don't know how to emulate an older version...     Undecided  I must be honest and you have already understood that I'm not a Pro user of SMF...   Tongue

I might have some conflicts with the Lite Version installed... The PrettyURLs mod gives me an option for the Lite version as the image attached.

The ones that I really wanted and are important to me are these 2 (I'm using a custom Theme - You can see the site here: http://themobilephotographyblog.com ):

Profile Images - Lists Recent Uploaded Images: http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,691.0.html

Recent Images on overall theme header: http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,163.0.html

This one was a good extra but not essential:

Recent Comments Under Recent Posts: http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,468.0.html

Thanks again for all the quick replies. Great support!   Smiley

I changed the stars on the Profiles by uploading a different image to the server and changing the membergroups. How can I also change the one used for the Gallery (as it always go for the default one)?

Btw, I'm thinking on a complete new installation. I'm afraid to not have the all Gallery working because I installed the Pro version on top of the Lite...  Undecided

I managed to change partially the stars by editing the Gallery2.template.php but I only managed to change it on the screen where the member can rate it. The default image still appears on the main gallery view and on the rate given.  Any clue what I'm missing?

Stored in the file Sources/Subs-Gallery2.php

In function GetStarsByPercent

Great! Thanks!  Now that is working too.   Smiley

I designed half-star as I was trying to add it to the Rate to have a better grade on it. I see this code there:
Code:
function GetStarsByPercent($percent)
{
global $settings, $txt;

if ($percent == 0)
return $txt['gallery_text_catnone'];
else if ($percent <= 20)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 1);
else if ($percent <= 40)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 2);
else if ($percent <= 60)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 3);
else if ($percent <= 80)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 4);
else if ($percent <= 100)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 5);

}
and it seems to be somehow easy to set that scale with an higher range with 20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90 and 100. The only thing I needed was for the 30,50,70 and 90, to be able to add after another image from the same location (something like "halfstar.png").

Can you help me with this?

Try something like
Code:
function GetStarsByPercent($percent)
{
global $settings, $txt;

if ($percent == 0)
return $txt['gallery_text_catnone'];
else if ($percent <= 20)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 1);
else if ($percent <= 30)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 1) . '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/halfstar.png" alt="*" border="0" />';
else if ($percent <= 40)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 2);
else if ($percent <= 50)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 2) . '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/halfstar.png" alt="*" border="0" />';
else if ($percent <= 60)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 3);
else if ($percent <= 70)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 3) . '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/halfstar.png" alt="*" border="0" />';
else if ($percent <= 80)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 4);
else if ($percent <= 90)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 4) . '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/halfstar.png" alt="*" border="0" />';
else if ($percent <= 100)
return str_repeat('<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/star.png" alt="*" border="0" />', 5);

}
