I don't know if it would be possible. But would there be a way to see if they are a fan of your page, or already "Like" your page and in return could we give them a badge for that on Facebook?

I can make the badge myself i just have no clue on how to go about coding this up?

Not easy to do unfortunately you have to check with the facebook api and that would be very hard to make.

Well, this is kinda a bummer i was hoping this could be done. Anyway you all could help me get this done if i pay extra? And if so how much would that run if you would have free time?

It would be pretty expensive probably in the hundreds of dollars if you have to verify the like. You would have to have a way to tie a facebook account to an SMF account.
Then scan their Facebook account for things they like and see if it matches your Facebook Fan Page.
Then for new likes have to setup a system to like a page and then redirect back after completed to process the like.



The cheap way is to do a link to facebook if they click it gives the badge but no guarantee that they liked the page or not.

Got ya, that makes a ton of sense for sure.

If i were to use a plugin that works inside smf or something where there is a like button, could it work where if the click it then they get the badge, or if its already "clicked" and emits they have already liked the page or whatever it would auto give the badge? Im just trying to think of cheaper ways that may work to get this done, i think this would be a great feature for everyone if they have a Facebook fan page like we do.

Just throwing around ideas.
