Recently, some pictures are not showing up. Everything else is, exif, comments etc. I can see a thumbnail in the edit menu but no response there either. If I copy/paste the direct link the image loads up as a jpeg ok. With some members, just a few do not show while with others all pics in their Gallery don't show.

It's just been brought to my attention so I don't know how long its been going on but some maintain it was ok a while ago. I have not made any changes recently except going from 4.05 to 4.08 ... and that was after the event in an effort to fix it.

Link to an example picture page with the issue?

Only the fullsize missing? or is the thumbnail missing as well?   Is it a specific image type such .gif, .jpg, or .png

Any errors in the error log that might be related?

Thumbnails are ok. They're all jpegs. No errors in the log

http://www.kilkennyphoto.eu/forum/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;sa=userlist

As you can see the 'no shows' are random. The direct link code always shows the full image.

I see the user list can you send a link to a user gallery category that has broken images.

The Galleries should be viewable by guests. Surely you don't need me to send you all the links of all the affected images?

Here's two links to start with
Thumbnails   http://www.kilkennyphoto.eu/forum/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;cat=52;u=64
Click on any image here or go;
Image 1 http://www.kilkennyphoto.eu/forum/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=161

All the images in this Gallery (Trevor Ogilvie) and Dons will not enlarge. Some of the images in most of the other Galleries will also not enlarge.

Looks like you are missing the medium sized thumbnails for those images You can try to rebulid the thumbnails in the admin area.
Or disable the medium sized images option.

I took a look at your gallery (as I'm using the Gallery Pro too) and I'm not sure what you mean by "not enlarge" but I see that some pics get smaller when you click them. This is because they have a lower resolution than the default size of the Gallery.

For example, this one http://www.kilkennyphoto.eu/forum/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=212  has a resolution of only 305px × 420px.

Not sure if this helps in anyway...

Thanks. Rebuilding the thumbnails and selecting 'regenerate medium sized images' worked. It would be useful to know how this happened though. Was it something the user did or I did as Admin?

Probably happened if you turned on medium thumbnails at a later time and didn't have it enabled from the start.

Thanks, that was probably it.

Thanks Jonas1975 for the advice. That makes sense. I just hadn't noticed it before.
