I have installed and uninstalled that MOD 4 times on my SMF 1.1.2 with no errors, but it doesn't work.. I have made posts for days hoping the person would respond but nothing. This is the first MOD I have installed with no errors and it does not work.. wish someone could give me a clue on what the problem might be.

yes i did that.. made about 6 different template topics saying various things to look authentic, and picked the board for them to display and also saved the settings... it just doesn't work..
i am no expert but i have 12 MODS installed and only had a problem with one other one which was resolved..
I approve people and whether i require activation or not it does not generate the topic

Are you testing by registering new 'test' members through the admin section? If so then test by registering new 'test' members via the normal registration process.
Regards,
Wilsy.

ok now it has just started working, but i promise i did not do anything else.. maybe it just took 100 new people to get warmed up..lol I was on the smf website and i do not know how anyone can deal with all the lite addition questions, it made my head spin.. I should be able to find the answer to this question but i cannot.. if i am running smf 1.1.2 default theme how can i add recent thumbs to the top, and if i can how many? If i do this what happens to the lower portion of the gallery where it already have them listed? Or, is their a certain popular mod that many people are using with pro version that i am missing? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

SMFHacks,
should a mod installer change <file name="$languagedir/Modifications.english.php">
to <file name="$languagedir/Modifications.english-utf.php">
to force the mod operate in utf8 forum ?
(It is in WelcomeTopic.xml file.)

SMFHacks,
I have fixed the mod for utf8 and selected the board for Welcome topic posting to.
I have prepared the desired title and the body of the Welcome message.
I have also included "{username}" in the Poster Name field - exactly as i need it.
But the next welcome topic appeared without poster name at all. Therefore i uninstalled the Welcome Topic mod.
Please, Allow {username} including into Poster Name field.
ps. After that I will install the mod again and will ask you to register at my forum to check whether the Welcome topic is being created correctly.. to continue the defended dialogue.
