how to upgrade from smf gallery pro 3 to smf gallery pro 5

I want to upgrade my gallery to the newest, and i have downloaded it, but how to upgrade from version 3 to version 5.
Should i uninstall the old one, or should i not uninstall it.

I would suggest to uninstall since that is an old old verison. Then install the new version.

Hi,

I recently upgraded to the latest version....

In the package manager i uninstalled the old version and the images from the old install were left intact with all permissions etc... I then installed the latest version... No issues and all working fine...

Just in case before I made the changes I did make a full site backup via cpanel but in my case I didnt need it... All worked perfectly.

What i do see in my package manager though is the older version still there with the option to remove it.... Not sure whether to remove it or not

You can remove the old version from package manager if it is no longer installed at all.
