Member not able to upload
« on: October 18, 2014, 11:05:55 pm »
I have a member who is not able to upload a file. The file is under the limit, and all permissions are correct, I have reviewed them. He gets this error every time he tries under multiple browsers. Uploads that I do as an Admin work correctly. What causes this error?

From this member:
I tried uploading Spitfire and here's what I enter.  When I press "Add Download" I get the error message "Unable to find server informations".   What am I doing wrong?

That just means the progress bar isn't working but it should still upload.

I'm getting this error with other members as well now. I haven't upgraded to 4.0 a/b, I just have 4.0

Should I be installing the upgrades over the old ones or uninstalling each one and starting over?

Disable the progress bar.

For these minor updates you can install the update over the old one.

Progress bar is disabled. Even after this I got this message.

Ok the upload issue has something to do with Internet Explorer 11. I took a shot that it was the problem and not your website and uploaded Top Score desktop with Firefox. So looks like you will get my recent releases now.

For whatever it's worth.

My other member with this problem is in the midst of a move, so it'll be a while before he can test this. I use FF myself and am haven't yet had the issue.

Not part of SMF but sort of part of the download system.

So just IE 11?

That's what I was told by the member. I use Firefox and have no issues., But I don't ever remember seeing a progress bar. Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get a message.
