Listing credit not credited
« on: January 27, 2015, 08:02:35 am »
On Friday someone purchased a listing credit. I can clearly see the transaction in PayPal but there is no corresponding transaction in Classifieds and presumably no credit showing in the poster's account as they complain they cannot post an ad.

I have performed the last upgrade yet. Could this be why?

I also dimly recall something about making changes to my PayPal account?

Hmm check your forums's error log for any related errors

Could this be a permissions/ownership issue?

Hmm, because it currently has no Execute permissions. I don't have access to the logs but I've asked my sysop to check them.

Ok let me know. If not we can always try turning on some other debug logging.

My sysop has reported back that the problem is that the mod is incompatible with the latest version of php, 5.4.

Very difficult to pinpoint the exact entries, but attached is everything with 'classifieds' in it.
Most relevant lines include something like "PHP Strict Standards:  Non-static method [..] should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in [..]"

I just tried to uninstall Classifieds to upgrade to the latest version (I'm on 4.0) in the hope that might solve the PHP issue but I get uninstall errors on every file except for: /Themes/default/languages/Who.english.phpTest successful
./index.phpTest successful
./Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php

Edit: Just upgraded, rather than uninstall/install. All worked fine. Not sure if it has solved my PHP version issue though?

Looked at the log file the errors appear to be comign form a joomla install? Do you have a joomla bridge?

 /data/www/develop/high-teck.com/customers/amoc.org/oldwww/includes/joomla.php

[Mon Nov 10 19:56:54 2014] [error] [client 212.183.128.92] PHP Strict Standards:  Non-static method mosMainFrame::sessionCookieValue() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in /data/www/develop/high-teck.com/customers/amoc.org/oldwww/includes/joomla.php on line 3388, referer: http://www.amoc.org/forum/index.php?action=classifieds&Itemid=938

I don't have any bridge. I am calling SSI.php in that Joomla install.

To fix those joomla errors you probably will need to upgrade joomla.

I'm in the process of migrating to Drupal. I am not using SSI.php so presumably could cease calling it from Joomla and those errors would disappear?

So, none of those entries point to why I'm getting errors in the operation of the Classified module?

Yeah none of them point to the error. But if you are messing with SSI.php the classifieds IPN script  uses SSI to handling transactions.
