Greetings - I couldn't find an answer to this so looking for some guidance.

When a user goes to upload an audio or video file to their gallery, I would like to show something like "Maximum file size is 100mb"

I'd like to also show this type of notification in the picture upload form stating the max dimensions of pic and max size of pic.

I appreciate the assistance greatly.

All the best
Ron

Very Cool - thanks much.  Will 7.0.7 be available for download?  I only see 7.0.6 on the download page.

Your continued excellent assistance is so very much appreciated.

All the best

Again, thank you for doing this.  I did install 7.0.7 and the form does not show the changes you made.  Thoughts?

You don't see it on any add/edit picture or video?
Make sure your max filesize is greater than 0 for it to appear.

2 of these are the gallery settings that I believe are relevant:

This is the user "add video/audio" form

From Gallery Config - file size max

From Video/Audio settings

When installed does it say 7.0.7 under settings?

Make sure the file themes/default/gallery2.template.php is copied there from the zip file.

Yes the install shows 7.0.7 as installed

themes/default/gallery2.template.php is in place correctly

I have installed this on my live site and my dev site (dev site did not have any previous version installed) and both are not showing any change.

I also changed the template to the default and there was no difference.

Thanks
Ron

make sure you don't have anything in your custom themes folders that says gallery2.template.php file

Thank you for your hard work; although I may owe you an apology.

After installing this version I still could not see the addition you made.  Checked all my permissions did a test (3 or 4 times).  What I did discover is it may be my fault.  The php max upload files show 100MB as shown yesterday:

Continued searching for a solution to this problem figuring it was me not you that is mistaken.  I then saw that in  Administration Center » Gallery Configuration » Settings » Gallery  Audio/Video Settings  the value for Video/Audio Max File size (in bytes) was set at 0 - once I changed it to 100000000 bytes (corresponding to my php max upload files) I was able to see the change.

This was tested and corrected on my end using my dev site, 7.0.7a installed.  My live site had 7.0.7 installed.  After making the file size change as described above 7.0.7 on my live site functioned as you intended, leading me to believe that the whole thing was my ignorance.

Please accept my apologies for causing you so much extra work - I did not catch that.

Very much appreciate that you added that info the upload form, thank you very much.

All the best
Ron

I had a mistake with the add/edit picture not showing which I fixed in the 7.0.7a release.
