Gallery installed at root
« on: May 03, 2017, 10:21:12 am »
I have installed Gallery Pro through the package manager. It is working just fine except that all files are at the root.
Is this normal? I would rather keep it in a special folder so that the root has just SMF files. What can I do to achieve this?

Thanks.

That is not normal the gallery files should be in the gallery folder.
Make sure your gallery path and url are correct should end in /gallery/ for both

The Gallery path is /usr/www/users/*****/root directory/gallery/ and url is http://www.****.**/gallery/
But the files are at the root...

How can I correct this?
If I uninstall the packet will the gallery files in the root be deleted so that I can reinstall them proper again?

Files like galleryaviary.php, gallerytwittercallback.php, etc.
Pictures are at /gallery.

Those are required to be there. They are callback files for those features.

I see. So folders /album_icons, /apricons, /highslide are placed in the root directory too and not in a special folder /gallery or something...
Which means my installation is correct.
It's just a little messy when doing an SMF complete upgrade or trying to keep a tidy root folder.

That is correct.
album_icons I don't believe is part of my gallery script.
