+SMF 2.1: no core files are edited any more. The mod plugs in through integration hooks (NewsProHooks.php) and the scheduled task's "callable", so SMF updates no longer break it. Uninstall the previous version before installing this one.
+One click unsubscribe. Newsletters now carry the List-Unsubscribe and List-Unsubscribe-Post headers that Gmail and Yahoo have required from bulk senders since 2024. Mail without them gets throttled or sent to spam whatever it contains. On by default, with an optional mailto: address as well.

MCP Server for SMF 2.1 is out. It gives your forum a Model Context Protocol endpoint, which means AI assistants such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, claude.ai, ChatGPT connectors and Cursor can
  connect to your forum and do admin work for you, in plain English.

I just learned coinbase commerce is shutting down at the end of March 31. IF you use download pro/store with crypto please disable as soon as possible.
I am exploring to see if I can use Coinbase Business https://help.coinbase.com/en/transitioning-from-coinbase-commerce-to-coinbase-business

The biggest changes are for SMF 2.1
They include a a new drag and drop uploader for pictures/videos.  Using the built int notification alerts for Notification alerts SMF 2.1 for Comment added on picture, new uploads if watching a member, picture liked, picture rated, picture approved!
SMF 2.1 new look to make it more modern/responsive for main areas of the gallery.

We also redid the slideshow feature SMF 2.0/SMF 2.1,  Load More Images option, SEO improvements, code enhancements throughout!

This November marks a special milestone 20 years since SMFHacks began. Back in 2005, I was drawn to SMF because of how easy it was to customize and expand. The package manager stood out as something unique compared to other forum software at the time.
A few months before launching SMFHacks, I had started an SMF forum hosting service. Developing modifications for that service naturally led to the creation of SMFHacks a place to share those tools with the wider community. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m grateful for everyone who’s been part of it.
