How to space icons and multiple reacts?

How can I change the icons to be spaced apart more, they are too close together

and also how to allow multiple reactions

I saw that it said suggested 16x16, but could I use bigger images and if so what would I need to change?

Bigger images you would just go in the admin area and change them out for each reaction. Other spacing would require a code change.

Multiple reactions from same person currently not supported that feature would have to be built out.

I too was hoping this mod allowed for multiple reactions.  If/when you decide to add that functionality,  I,  for one,  am on board.

I figured out a CSS solution...

a[href$='#ratethis'] {
   margin-right: 20px;
}

In the index.css file will achieve what I am trying to do.  Can anyone see how that might break things?

Multiple reacts have to think about requires some interface changes and maybe limits since could easily be spammed.

Yeah,  the interface would have to be something like:


* = rating icon


*x0 *x1 *x1 *x0 *x1


... and lets say you click the left-most rating... the result would be

*x1 *x1 *x1 *x0 *x1


Basically eliminate the two different containers... (left and right) and go with a single container that updates as you click the rating. 

An option for single ratings only and multiple ratings would be great... permissions or not (my site is private and permissions aren't necessary).

The behavior for multiple-rates should be that if... lets say... you click "THUMBS UP"... it adds 1 to the total for "THUMBS UP".   If you click "THUMBS DOWN"... it adds 1 to the total for "THUMBS DOWN" too... but if you click either of those a 2nd time,  the rating is undone and it subtracts one rate.

I would also suggest that the ratings icons need to be larger.  Higher resolution.  I was thinking that I am doing it wrong by expanding my smaller icons... what should be done is that larger/higher res icons should be displayed at 50% normally ... then on hover expand to 100%.

Just a thought.
