Title: Database error
Post by: Zaphod on March 06, 2021, 12:57:48 pm
Hi, I installed the Downloads pro V5.0.5 after uninstalling the previous free version and updating to smf 2.0.18 from 2.0.17 No problems were encountered during this.

After installing the pro version, I added a file and once it was uploaded and the page refreshed I got the following error below.
--------------------------
Database Error
Unknown column 'money' in 'field list'
File: /home/tgsquad/public_html/smf/Sources/Downloads2.php
Line: 1915

I enclose a part screenshot of the error.

It thinks SMFShop is still installed.,
Delete shopVersion from smf_settings database table.

Also, Uncheck this under download settings "Use SMF Shop money as credits instead of download system credits"

Hi thanks for speedy reply, I found and removed the offending line but still get same error message, also the line "Use shop money was unchecked.

I never used to look after the downloads, but after speaking to the former operator they had tried the "Shop" but uninstalled it and used to rem out the lines in the downloads2.php when ever he installed a newer version (prior to now I never knew this) of the free download system.

Apart from searching the database, would it be easier to install the shop, then uninstall and have the mod remove the database data? Just a thought.

It does require editing the smf_settings table and removing the row.

The uninstall for SMF Shop does not delete entries added via the smf_settings table.

Hi again, I wrote a query and found many entries of the string in question all gone and so far so good. I did notice a message when uploading a file in the add download page but never took notice of it as i needed to see if my I love SMF database was good. All was well and no error on downloads2.php.

many thanks for the pointer, never knew what devious methods the previous op got up too.
