I just installed SMF Gallery Pro 9.0beta2f, the version available to download after I bought a licence.
I've succesfully bulk imported some .bmp files but when I view the gallery, all the thumbnails show with missing image icons.
On viewing the files, the bmp shows correctly.
Is it possible to display a thumbnail preview for bmp files?
My SMF install:
Version Information:
Forum version: SMF 2.0.18 (more detailed)
Current SMF version: SMF 2.0.18
GD version: bundled (2.1.0 compatible)
Database Server: MariaDB
MySQL version: 10.3.30-MariaDB-log-cll-lve
PHP: 7.3.29
Server version: LiteSpeed

Hmm, I will do some tests and get back to you.
Does it work for you with jpegs and png files?
-
Confirmed issue. Looks like need to do a patch to SMF's resize option will work on that fix.

It does but my (unusual) need is only to upload small bmp files, 85 (w) x20 (h) pixels. It's an edge case requirement within the flight tracking "hobby". Thousands of them!
Do you have a timeframe for the patch? Just so I can manage the project going forward.

Should have a patch out later today.

That's really helpful and much appreciated.

Thank you. Downloaded and both bmp thumbnail displaying and searching on three characters work.
Excellent support, thank you so much.

Today I released Gallery Pro on my forum and it's had a great reception. Thanks you for the excellent Mod and Support.
Although downloading a file respects the original file name, right mouse clicking to "Save Image As" reverts to the anon name, such as 1-100821214305-1000.bmp.
Is there an option for "Save Image As" to offer the uploaded file name?
-
The save as is not possible without a large performance hit or saving the files as the original filename

Thanks, it's not a show stopper for me. Member education should get around it.
