Title: Gallery Pro File Download Names

I would like to preserve the uploaded file name when it's downloaded.

For example, if an uploaded file is named:

BoeingB744.bmp

I'd like that to be the name that the download uses instead of the anonymised, random one applied to the stored image, which might be:

1-260721160830-17.bmp

SMF forum attachments are also randomised on the server but retain the original file name when downloaded from a post.

Is this something that could be a configuration setting?

Would have to be made currently it is random filenames. For physical storing on the server could maybe do orginalfilename-pictureid.extension that might be possible.

Do you think retaining the original file name for downloads could be delivered and if so when?

I'm not looking for a definitive "Yes" nor a confirmed implementation date, just an indication of timescales as this will influence deploying Gallery Pro on my forum. And my continued evaluation and testing.

Is this just when an item is downloaded? If so I can do that more easily.

Or do you want the files in the gallery to have a  similar filename

Only when the file is downloaded.  Same as Attachments in a forum message.  The file on the server can remain anonymised.

This has been completed.  When using the download item option.  You can download the latest release for this update. I did this quickly since it was a good idea!

Yes it's 9.0beta3a  i don't update the version number.

Just note this only takes affect for new uploads going forward.
