Title: Adding extra photos & manage listing permissions
Post by: rgsknr on June 26, 2008, 06:08:42 am
1: Can you fix the add extra photos feature. I have added a fee for members to add extra photos to their listings. Can you fix this so when it is a admin or global moderator wanting to add photos to listings, that it bypasses the fee process so the admin or global moderator can add more photos to all listings with no fee process?

2: Also can you add a permission that will let me give the global moderator the right to manage all listings so I can let them restart listings for me  or add custom status text.

1. Done requires them to have to Manage Classifieds Permission

2. Currently needs to the Manage Classifieds permission to allow them to edit listings.

Hack,
I have given my global moderators all permissins for the classifieds,  by check marking yes to everything in the classifieds section within the permissions page.

But when I  look at a listing while logged in as a global moderator there are no links at the bottom of the listings like I see when logged in as a admin, that allow me to admin or manage the listing.

Am I not doing something right on the permissions page?

The way I understand your reply is, the add pics as a admin or global moderator requests will be operational after the next update, but I should be able to let Global mods manage listings currently if I give them admin permissions.

Is this correct or must I wait till the next update to give Global mods this manage listing permission.

For some reason, I can't get the permission to work at the moment.

Hack,

Just making sure I understand what you mean by done on remark number 1:
Once we install your 1.2 final update which should be available this afternoon,

Your answer on #1: Done, means that if the admin or global mod has a been given the manage classifieds permission.  The global mod or admin who have the manage listing permission will be able to add as many photos as they wish up to the max amount that has been set in the admin classifieds configuration settings.

So, if the max photos amount is set to only one (1) in the category max photos settings, regular members will be able to post 1 photo for free but if they want to ad more pics they will have to buy extra photos through the upgraded area I have in place for extra photos.

But, the global mods and admins will be allowed to add as many photos as they wish thus bypassing the paypal area to add photos, but only up to the admin classifieds configuration setting, which I currently have set to 10 images max..

Is this interpretation correct?

Global mods needs the Admin Classifieds permission to do that.

Basically what they would need to do is to buy a free listing upgrade for picture space that will allow them to add extra images to the listing.
