Title: Hiding a certain category on the recent items section
Post by: dominoid on May 01, 2009, 01:59:36 pm
I'm using the pro gallery on my site and it's all working fine except for one small niggle. I can't work out how to hide a category from appearing in the recent items section. It's possible to do this on the tinyportal random image block but I can't find a similar function on the main recent items section. The reasoning for doing this is that I have a not suitable for work category for possibly objectionable images and I want to keep this hidden unless a user activey clicks on it. Is it possible through either the default interface or maybe a hack?

Two ways that you can do this either enable gallery category level permissions on that category and restrict access by membergroup. You can set this up by clicking on the permissions link next to the category

Or you can enable "Allow marking of mature/adult content" under gallery settings. Then instead of seeing the picture they would just see a mature icon and if they click it they will be prompted if they want to see mature images for the rest of their session.
