No editor? Do you have the add comment link? Or are you meaning quickreply on the view picture page?

I don't see any comments allowed for guests on that page.

Just want to understand you do not have the add comment link? Or do you not have the bbc editor on the add comment page or for quickly reply on the view picture page?

Do you have add comment permission enabled for each member group?
Also there are settings on a category level that you can disable comments and on a picture level if you enable those settings.

If you want bbc code on quick reply there is an option turn that on in gallery settings.

I am admin but still nothing shows, no add comment link, no editor, nothing.

Do you have this setting enabled "Allow the user to toggle if comments can be shown on a picture or not."
With that setting a user can decide if they want comments or not on an image.

Yes, on or off makes no difference.

Is it a specific picture or any picture in any category you can't comment on?

Comments are deiced by one of three things
1. Your membergroup has permission to post a comment.
2. The category that you are posting in has a category level permission for your membergroup set to allow or not set at all.
3. The picture has allowed comments set to on if you allow users tot toggle commenting permissions.

No permissions in members gallery to edit.

Any chance of a fix for this problem?

There are no category level permissions for members gallery. Category level permissions are only for normal categories. You do not want to have members blocking other membergroups from accessing their the galley.

Looks like new images have the comments box but not the imported ones, very strange.

Try this query to update old pictures this turns allowcomments on all pictures

Code: [Select]
UPDATE smf_gallery_pic SET allowcomments = 1

That fixed it, now just the medium images to sort out.
