Post by: FLipPro on February 10, 2011, 09:09:39 pm
I went ahead and PM'ED you and you told me to go ahead an post it here so I am. I have a custom theme and I am  trying to get the newest 1.08 Pro on here. I am an existing buyer. I also want to please ask you if there is anyway you can make the forum less wide so that I have space for possibly 2 more ads on each side (Left and Right)

I have attached all files that you asked me for.

Hey Thank you so much for all you have done for me already. I have one more issue. The two right and left ads are not in the middle of the forum. I was able to bring them down by using   to make blank spaces on the ad, and eventually it was in the middle after several tries. But this only worked on the actual index, and not on any of the other pages. Can you please help me set it to stay static in the middle on every page including the index. Right now I have the index one looking ok because I used the   command before putting the ad up.

Thanks for all the excellent support.

Kind Regards

Sure I will go ahead and set them again. I basically think that the actual board needs to be skinny and the ad's need to go outside of the white backdrop. That would look the best and that is what I am looking for. The ad's should be static and should scroll with the rest of the page. I am purchasing your twitter poster for SMF because of your excellent help. Thank you.

here is the link for the index

here is the page I setup for you.

I had to take off the left and right because it was messing up the entire content on the page, and people were complaining. Basicaly the banners have to go outside of the white area which would probbaly require the board to be less wide, which I am perfectly fine with in order to acomidate for the outside left and right as banner spots.

I hired this guy from freelancer.com who half- assed his job,and even ended up turning on me, tried to DDOS and php inject the forum. I wont name him since it might jeopardize the pending investigation that freelancer is performing. It's been a crazy two weeks, but I finally got everything setup security wise and would really appreciate your help setting up these adspots for me. I attached a jpg file showing what I need done and also a copy of my index.template.php. Basically I need about 15 - 20 of those adspots on the main index page, preferably outside the white backdrop( instead the ads are on top white canvass). The picture will explain all in detail . Thank you so much for your help, and I hope we can fix this together. Let me know whats going to happen. I will make a nice donation in your donation box. Thank you !

EDIT: The picture tells you how to work with the white backdrop. If its possible to just get rid of the white backdrop behind the ad's that would be the very best option. Please let me know we we can do this.

It looks AWESOME !! I dont have the options for the 15 ad spots down the right though. I can't modify the ad on the top either. There seems to be a x right under the blue cigs sigh.For some reason I can't find it in the manage ads section.

I disabled the adspot in the index, which is probbaly why you weren't seeing it. It is now back on, check the index http://moneymakerforums.com.

I updated the forum to SMF5 and updated all your mods, and now the x is gone from the index template ! :D , Now all I need is 10-15 more spots going down the index 300x300, tell me what files you need since I updated the forum, and fixed a few mods, you may need new files.

I need your help please. I have been working on this for 2 weeks now, and I must say I understand your system much better ;D. I am now almost completely done with modding my forum, and tweaking everything. The adspots are one of the last few things I have to do. Here is what I have been trying to get working on the index.template.php for the adspots I was talking about going down the right and left index @ 125x125.

Code: [Select]
// Begin Ad Seller Pro Location - Right Side of the Forum 2
echo '</div>';
global $sourcedir;
include_once $sourcedir . "/adseller2.php";

$adSellerAdData =  ShowAdLocation(1001);

// Check if any ads where found
if ($adSellerAdData != false)
{
echo '<div style="position:fixed; left:60px; top:800px; height:125px; width:125px">';

echo $adSellerAdData;

echo '</div>';
}
echo '</tr></table>';
// End Ad Seller Pro Location - Right Side of the Forum 2

I attached my index.template.php file.

Please help me, and teach me how I can duplicate, so I can do this for the other 30 spots on the index. I decided to go with more spots, that are smaller in size, since it makes the forum look so much better, especially on wide displays.

EDIT:BTW I know the px's are way off, but I have been messing around with the code all day trying to get it to work. The closest I got was using position:absolute , but that only worked on one sized screen, and it would stack the other ads under eachother. When I tried logging in through my Iphone for example the ad on the bottom would be way off to the right, since the Iphone screen isn't big enough it was like it wasn't even there.

I have been trying to find a way to make it stay the same no matter what size screen or browser type.

Changed some code around. If you have mutiple spots on the right side they need to between the <td> </td> tags that control's the data shown in that column

Updated file attached.

To design a site in WordPress you start with a template called a theme. There are many themes offering different layouts. It helps to think through what content and functionalities you want in your site before choosing a theme. ... With a custom WordPress site, you may still need help from your designer from time to time to add pages to the navigation or after software updates. But you'll have a professionally designed presence that reflects your company ...
