I'm putting SMF Gallery Pro through its paces to test its features (and our configuration) work as expected for our community before an expected rush to use the system in two months time.
We're using SMF 2.0 RC5 with Bloc's Argentum2 theme and the following installed packages:
- Dream Menu
- reCAPTCHA for SMF
- SMF Gallery Pro Recent Profile Images
- Newsletter Pro
- SMF Gallery Pro
- SMF Gallery Pro SSI
- SMF Gallery Pro - Video AddOn
Under an SMF administrator account and using Firefox 4.x, I clicked the "Bulk Add Pictures" link in a category (index.php?action=gallery;sa=bulk;cat=10), the page that loaded had this message:Multiupload failed to load. An issue occured....
There is nothing in the SMF log, there is no entry added to the error log in cPanel, and there's no error_log file in the forum or web root directories. These do get created normally. I simply cleared them before reproducing this issue. They didn't get re-created
-
First check that the files for the bulk uploader exist.
They should be in your gallery/fupload/source folder on your server.
-
Sorry but I simply ran the installer. What files are supposed to be there?
All I found was
bsky@burningsky.org [~/public_html/forum/gallery/fupload]# ll
total 20
drwxr-xr-x 4 bsky bsky 4096 Mar 23 23:19 ./
drwxr-xr-x 14 bsky bsky 4096 Mar 24 03:15 ../
drwxr-xr-x 3 bsky bsky 4096 Mar 23 23:19 assets/
drwxr-xr-x 2 bsky bsky 4096 Mar 23 23:19 source/
-rw-rw-rw- 1 bsky bsky 3865 May 29 04:01 thumb.png
Hmmmmmm.... our users are supposed to FTP the files to this directory THEN use the "bulk add pictures" link?
-
In the the sources folder there should be multiple .js files and a .swf file.
-
:-\
None of that got installed then. Suggestions?
We've got these versions installed
SMF Gallery Pro 3.0.21
SMF Gallery Pro SSI 2.1.1
SMF Gallery Pro - Video AddOn 3.5.2
SMF Gallery Pro Recent Profile Images 2.0.1
-
Extract the gallery folder from SMFGalleryPro zip file and reupload to the root of your forum.

Not sure whatelse it would be can you create me a login that has access to bulk upload and pm it to me.
-
Today I tore off the old version and installed 3.0.22 clean
PM sent with details
-
Took a look.
Looks like the theme has it's own mootools script which is interfering with the bulk uploader
<script src="http://burningsky.org/Themes/argentum_smf20rc5/js/mootools13b_min.js" charset="ISO-8859-1" type="text/javascript"></script>
Couple options
1. Disable the multiuploader option under settings in the gallery. Which will then just be a multiple upload box on the bulk upload page.
Or
2. Remove that code that the theme is using but not sure what the theme uses that code for.

i'm having a problem with my gallery as well. symtoms are exactly the same. i'm just a pharmacist, though. not a computer guy. is there an easy downloadable fix or can you take a look? thanks! alan
-
I would need a private message with the ftp and admin account to take a look and make changes if needed.
-
sent, and thank you. and if you like fishing, take a look around! alan
-
no luck, huh!
-
I believe sent a pm to you a couple days ago I might have needed something.
-
it worked. thanks a million!!!!!!!!!
-
ok, i'm back again. this time i upgraded to gallery pro 4.0 and i am getting an error message for each photo as the photos are loaded in during the "bulk loading" process. i tried to uninstall 4.0 but i still get the same error.
when i tried to load a single photo, it worked. :-[
-
What error message are you getting?
-
all it says is "an error occured:[]" and that is all.
-
Fixed new update posted

Hi SmfHacks,
I have got same problem on latest version. When I try to bulk uplod it says "Multiupload failed to load. An issue occured...."
It was fresh installed, no another mootool js, all directories and files under the fupload are 755, and all js and swf files in the source are OK!.
Help me please...
-
Can you pm me a login to check it out.
-
Looks like issue with fbslidebox
Looks like you have jquery running
Read http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.noConflict/
<script type="text/javascript">!window.jQuery && document.write(unescape('%3Cscript src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery.min.js"%3E%3C/script%3E'))</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery(document).ready(function($)
{
$("#FBSlideLikeBox_right").mouseenter(function()
{
$(this).stop().animate({right: 0}, "normal");
}).mouseleave(function()
{
$(this).stop().animate({right: -350}, "normal");
});;
});
</script>
Try change to
<script type="text/javascript">!window.jQuery && document.write(unescape('%3Cscript src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery.min.js"%3E%3C/script%3E'))</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$.noConflict();
jQuery(document).ready(function($)
{
$("#FBSlideLikeBox_right").mouseenter(function()
{
$(this).stop().animate({right: 0}, "normal");
}).mouseleave(function()
{
$(this).stop().animate({right: -350}, "normal");
});;
});
</script>
