Yeah, sorry about that. The biggest problem with backporting Menu Editor to 1.1.x is that the menu in 1.1.x is stored in index.template.php, meaning it's on a per-theme basis. Making it extremely tough to make it compatible with all themes.

Furthermore, there aren't many reasons to stay on the 1.1.x branch anyway.

All of my customizations and "hacks" keep me there.  I have had my forum for years and years. . . I don't even remember all the things I have done to it in that time.  To start over scares the poop out of me.  I guess one day I'll have too though.  :-(

Most 1.1.x modifications are either available on 2.0.x or in the core now anyway. Feel free to shoot me a PM with a link and login details and I can take a peak at how difficult it'd be to migrate if you're wanting to consider it.

Well, for now it's allready 2 people buying it for SMF 1.1.X and likely there would be more. So would be great if you gave it a 2nd thought

It won't be. SMF 2.1 will be out shortly and then SMF 1.1 will reach EOL. (End of Life)
