Not sure have to see if SMF lets me release the mod or not if so then I will do 1.1.x possibly.

True, what's the difference between this and SMF arcade?

I think some tweaks added. Not sure exactly. I saw this one was dead decided to update it since no other arcade mod is maintained.

This one I believe has some extra functions, and the ability to create tournaments. I've seen it in action before, and it's better at recognizing scores submitted by flash games. The original for me is hit or miss, what's the point of an arcade if games cannot save scores into the database.

I have it installed in SMF 2.0.9 and it installed good but I can't find it to activate it?
I don't see it in my admin anywhere that I can find?
It shows in my "package Manager" version 3.0.
I'm using "TotalBlue" and selected Default and TotalBlue, should I have not selected both?

Just installed (2.0.9) what I believe is the latest version of e-arcade (reborn)

When I visit the arcade tab, I see:

Unknown column 'c.id_category' in 'on clause'
File: /home/connec31/public_html/forum/Sources/ArcadeList.php
Line: 129

when I visit arcade > stats, I see:

Unknown column 'game.number_plays' in 'field list'
File: /home/connec31/public_html/forum/Sources/ArcadeStats.php
Line: 105

when I visit arcade admin > games, I see

Unknown column 'g.number_plays' in 'field list'
File: /home/connec31/public_html/forum/Sources/ManageArcade.php
Line: 955

Any help to make this a functioning arcade much appreciated!

Did you have another arcade installed before? That could cause that issue.

Indeed I did, althought I thought I had uninstalled it before installing this one? :S

It looks like it still has some old data tables installed which is causing the conflict.

Thanks for the pointer..
I will back up, try manually removing all arcade related db entries then try reinstalling and report back!

Hey,

I've deleted all entries of arcade related stuff and managed to install the Arcade,

I've having some issues getting games to work but I think I've more installed now than I did with the previous arcade and it looks and functions a lot better!

(some games don't seem to allow for you to write/save a comment with your score but this is minor)
(some packs refused to install and others installed but with broken games?)

Appreciate the updates to it and look forward to any future ones!

Can you point me in the direction of where I might find more compatible gamepacks?

Thank you!

Have no gamepacks yet waiting for approval on simplemachines.org before I publish gamepacks.

I've came across more games I believe will work but is there a faster way I can install multiple?
(upload into /Games/ folder?)

Possibly. Sorry my mind hasn't been on it lately busy on some other stuff.
Title: Re: [Mod]E-Arcade - Reborn
Post by: 420connect on January 14, 2015, 12:46:40 pm
Hmm,
I uploaded my .zip to /Games/ and tried installing via the arcade but the file was too large..

so I extracted my .zip into /Games/ and tried installing the games through the arcade..

I'm having a hit and a miss with installing..

I keep running into this problem too:

Game installer completed!
: internal_name is not numeric.
: game_name is not numeric.
: game_file is not numeric.

(it's probably partly my fault for attempting to install lots at once although I'm getting the above for even one at a time now? :()

Just seen this,
Thank you!

Before testing; - will it install "on-top" of the version I'm using or should I uninstall, then install the new version.

(and if I should uninstall first, is the 'keep MOD data' option available?)

As always,
Many thanks!

Hi, since installing it (and it works for all but a few games) on my 2.0.9 SMF site here : (www.ctgt.us).
I've been getting lots of errors like this in the logs :
--------------------
http://www.ctguntalk.com/smf/index.php?action=admin
8: Undefined variable: urls
File: /home2/ctguntal/public_html/smf/Sources/Who.php
Line: 665

------------------
Line 665 in the who.php is :

665     if (!is_array($urls))
666              return isset($data[0]) ? $data[0] : false;
667      else
668              return $data;
----------------------------------

Looks like it stems from smfArcade.

Any ideas?

Sorry, it was a member who brought up the error so not too sure.

~ I have a lot of games I'm yet to properly rename and testing each one takes a while so it could just be an incompatible game trying to save a score? .. I'll update when I know

& Also, should this page have very little styling?
http://www.420connect.info/forum/index.php?action=arcade;sa=pro_stats;ta=[ID]

(I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional but would like to add pop-up background / table like the smileys pop-up is displayed if possible?)

Many thanjs

Trying to add a block of random games with an old code I've found to SP

It works as expected but when I have the block enabled, the blocks below it have database error messages showing /blocks are missing..

Would you mind having a look over this code to see if it's missing something obvious to end the script of something?

Many thanks!

Code: [Select]

Hello,

I have just installed eArcade 3.0 in my new SMF 2.0.13 and everything went perfect, also the two games included run perfectly and all options and features seems to work.

Just wanted to let you all know.

I hope to find now some more games to install, i've tried to install "minesweeper" which is included in SMF-Arcade and the install system doesn't recognize it.

Great job with the Mod guys, i was looking for this. Thank you

Hello again, I'm sorry to double post but i have found a problem which i don't know how to solve.

As i said, everything after install in Arcade was working fine, i've been traslating it to spanish since then.

But when i go now to read a post in the forum, i got this error page:

Code: [Select]

syntax error, unexpected 'else' (T_ELSE)

Traslating shortly the above, it says there is a problem loading /Themes/default/Display.template.php and it shows that syntax error at bottom of the message.

I've been very careful traslating all texts, anyway i've been checking line by line /Display.template.php , /Arcade.template.php and /Arcade.english.php and i have not found that 'else' (T_ELSE)

Please, can anyone help me? Thank you.

Thank you for your reply, i still have not found the error, sure i tried with my very low coding knowledge.

Below is attached the file you have requested.

Thanks a lot.

Edit;

I have attached the file but i can't see it into the message or i don't know where it is, clicking the Modify button i see is attached, but it seems is larger in size than is allowed. I have tried to add the whole code with code tags, but it breaks the page.

Great!!! It works now, i can open posts, Thank you very much.

How did you solve it? where it was the error?... just to learn some.

Taking advantage of this topic, i've read that long time ago you had planned to edit games to get them working with E-Arcade. I suppose you have been very busy (for what i'm thankful to take your time with my problem)

Do you still plan to edit games? I have found a dozen or so out there which can be played through E-Arcade, but can't connect with scores, it rutrn a database error obviously.

I'm creating png icons for the whole E-Arcade Mod, is there a chance for i can upload them here if you like them? Is the least i can do in exchange of your hard workd with this excellent Mod.

Again Thanks a lot for your help... Regards

Just moved a line because of another mod conflict.

I don't plan to edit games a this time because I couldn't get it approved at simplemachines.org and the fact that flash is being phased out in browsers.

Yes, you're right, flash will dissapear someday, i hope another platform could be adapted with time for this great Mod.

I'm having some trouble with this mod. I installed it, and it worked fine, but after I attempted to uninstall it, the "arcade" tab on my index stuck around and I'm not entirely sure how to remove it. Removing it also appears to have broken my custom avatars. Any ideas on how to fix this, either by removing, or simply hiding the "Arcade" tab? I'd much prefer to simply hide the tab, if that's possible. Thank you!

The arcade tab is found in the sources/subs.php in the menu section.
