Title: Import Issues
Post by: rumboogy on June 07, 2007, 08:19:28 am
I had tried to use the import feature once before, and could never get it to work. I did see another post that referred to file permission issues, but I do not have that problem, as I am able to CHMOD to 777.

My problem is that I upload (only about 7 pics right now) to the import gallery and try to import them, but nothing happens and then the screen refreshes back to the gallery.

Also, I see IMPORT only on the user gallery and not on categories in MY Gallery...see the image below. Shouldn't there be an IMPORT OPTION on each category?

I also look forward to the newer version coming out...when that happens I will abandon all my Coppermine Galleries.

Thanks for your help.

Wally

The import feature should be only for categories in the main gallery and not user categories in the member galleries.

It may be a good feature to add if a user that has admin store permissions to be able to import into the users gallery.

I am wondering why it isn't a good idea for the member galleries to have import capabilities into the user categories. This would make loading of galleries SO MUCH faster and easier.

If nothing else, it would be nice to at least have it for the Gallery Administrator.

I REALLY love this script...you have done an excellent job. I am hopeful that the next version(s) will have capabilites to handle larger galleries in an easier manner...if so, I would ABANDON all other gallery scripts I use on my other sites.

Thanks again for you help.

Importing pictures from a folder on website is risky cause they can choose any directory on the site and upload pictures from the site so that's why its admin only feature.

The users do have a bulk upload which allows them to choose multiple pictures at a time to bulk upload.

Post any feature requests have for SMF Gallery Pro 1.3 in this topic
