Title: Added product options
Post by: Jump1979man on June 16, 2007, 12:22:59 am
It would be nice to have like 3-4 "Extra Optional Custom Fields" instead of just the 2....maybe it would be possible to add more as needed???

The only way it would work is if you are using the shopping cart then I could store extra data. PayPal only alllows two extra custom fields so it would not really work for buy it now items unless I add an extra redirect.

what im needing is a custom product setup. One for quotes, if client is given quote by staff than quote product should allow client to add quoted price than description field for client to fill out on what was quoted and by whom. Than its added to the cart.

PS jump on msn if you got a chance

yes, I will only use the shopping cart.  This is what I am selling....motorcycle parts and accessories that have many applications per part....I need something to list several different options like bike make and models and colors for a single part.

In the extra optional custom fields...it says

"(10-choice limit, 30 characters per choice; separate each choice using a return) "

but I added 11 choices and they show up for the products....will this work or wont it show for paypal?

Will not work for PayPal. Keep it 10 and under. I will add a check for that.

Is there anyway for some option boxes to be added that if chosen will add to the overall price of the product?

Not currently would need to add a new system for that.
