Title: PERMIT based permissions vs DENY
Post by: tfs on April 06, 2019, 12:16:11 pm
I'm using Downloads System Pro an it does what I need, but something that's preventing me from doing more than the bare minimum of what I need is my hesitance to get too deep into the security I'd need to setup for new download areas. We have some groups of clients who are completely separate from other clients, and then there are groups within those, each of which would need their own areas.

If security was setup as PERMIT based then I could add a download area for any particular group as needed, with just one PERMIT granted to it.

Maybe in v6.0? :)

Yeah this is something I want to redo for all my mods. I plan to work on somepoint. Have to rethink the way it is done.

Thanks. You have my vote to do it.

Would be a good excuse to charge for upgrades. :)
