Hi everybody.
Since some days a strange mess is happening on my Gallery.
I've uploaded up to today some thousands of photos, divided in many many categories. Some category is of just 1/2 pics, some other are of hundreds of pics.
Photos have their titles and tags. Subcategories are ordered with the menus in title and ascending order.
I friend told me that he was searching for a subject. Got the result and then, opening the first pic of the result, pressed the "next photo" link. And the next photo was not the next photo, but a casual photo in the whole subcategory. And after 4 o 5 next photo he got to the last photo, while on the page there are hundreds of them.

I've tried and it's like that. I guessed was something about the search engine. But if you go simply inside a subcategory, enlarge a photo and click "next photo" the holy s... is there again!
What's happening?????? The DB has lost something? There is no more order in the whole gallery!!!!!

What version of the galllery are you on?
From my understanding this about a sort order issue when using find next/previous picture.

Right now i've a very noisy issue. I've uploaded thousands of pics. If trasmission to server went wrong i had a red error on a single photo, ok.
If a photo is too large or too big, i get the ok check but the photo will be not online.
So, i'm now searching which photos in past days have not been uploaded while Gallery said me was ok.
Im founding a photo here, a photo there, ok....
I've uploaded first 3/4 photos and now they are online.
I discover right now that last 10 photos - uploaded in last minutes - even if they are ok are again not online.
I've tried to resize them, rename them, nothing.
I was wondering why this single photo or this other one....
But right now i've discovered that Gallery don't accept no more photo, not a single one.

Check your forum's error log. Make sure you have enough space.
If the picture is too large filesize check your PHP limits for FILE UPLOAD SIZE and MAX_POST_SIZE

Last problem is with "adding a single photo" link.
All these uploads i have done them with "add multiple photos".
First days Gallery was up this single adding was working.
Not now. If i try to add a single photo, i fill the title, the category is that one, already existing and is the one indicated in the field.
Search the file, write captions, tags.
But when i click to submit the Gallery gives me back an error, saying "you first must create a new categorie"
??????
Really upset.

For all the last actions i get just 2 errors:
"undefined index: title" and "undefined index: description"

I think your PHP limits for file uploads might be too low. Please check

If you mean limits set in the gallery panel, it's 900Kb while bigger photo is 520kb. If could be a problem with host and server....i got to check

These in php.ini need to be rasized to allow bigger uploads
upload_max_filesize = 2M
post_max_size = 2M
Default is 2mb

On the hosting i've 100Gb, i'm using actually 51

And by now i don't see any php.ini in my space. I can't write now to hosting, must do it tomorrow....

I'm back.
Hello.
Today my hosting has checked and found some errors in the code but those errors didn't give me back the photo upload....
PHP.ini file is 160Mb. Space on my server is still wide.
At a certain point i remembered what of different i've done in last day. I tried and now multiple upload works.
This issue is solved, but certainly not in a logic way.
I've changed the value for minimal size of pictures to be uploaded. It was 0 x 0 and i put 640 x 640. As i get back the value to 0 x 0 multiple upload restarted.
??? ???
Apart this, i've still the other 2 issues open:
- single upload doesn't work
- searching or navigating in a gallery is in casual order and stop after 2 or 3 photos
Can you help me?

Maybe i've found the problem for the disordered photos.
The categories are set as default in data descending order.
Any of my categories i've changed to title ascending order.
But when i open a category i still see top right that default order in the menù is data descending order.
Could this generate conflicts?
Because right now i've tried to keep data descending order and sequence of photos is correct.

I've found another bug, don't hate me please.
When i want to move a group of photos from a subcategory to another, i'll check all of them and then, in the lower admin bar i select from the menù the actual subcategory, then the action "move photo", then i click the button.
Nothing happens. Am i doing wrong?
In the meanwhile, i hope you can check the last issue i wrote, that one of the disordered photos.

Not at time it is complicated trying to come up with a fix that works for next/previous photos been a busy week.
We could disable the option to change the sort order and just allow the date sort.

Uhm. Not a nice news. In my gallery it's all sorted by title. And it must be in this way.
