Title: Installing Awesome Post Ratings on non-default theme
Post by: Hatshepsut on September 25, 2020, 10:24:09 pm
Hello,
In my forum, I have installed a beta version of Potato theme for testing:

https://github.com/SychO9/smf-potato-theme

When I switch forum to Potato theme, APR mod does not appear, neither in topics, nor in user profiles.
The Potato theme uses its own Display.template and Profile.template files.

How to edit these files to make APR working with Potato theme? Or I need to uninstall and then reinstall APR mod?

You can edit upload the mod to https://www.smfhacks.com/smf-package-parser.html and file the manual install instructions for the theme and apply them to your theme.

Or you can uninstall. Then reinstall and attempt to install on other themes.

Thanks, the parser was very useful :) But I pasted code for Display.template.php on another place, after that:

Code: [Select]
// Show the post itself, finally!
 echo '
 <div class="post">';
 echo '
 <div class="inner" data-msgid="', $message['id'], '" id="msg_', $message['id'], '"', $ignoring ? ' style="display:none;"' : '', '>
 ', $message['body'], '
 </div>
 </div><!-- .post -->';

Else if the code is pasted on default place, the APR icons do not appear (maybe this is behavior of Potato theme only).

For Profile.template.php, there are no problems.

Code looks ok. Make sure you check other peoples posts they do not appear on your own.
