Clever man! It worked wonderfully. Needless to say, after I read your suggestion I felt like a complete dunce. I numbered with 001, 002, 003...etc. That ought to keep me good through the first 999.

Okay, sorry for the late reply. I tried this, but to no avail. I went into FTP, DL'd the php doc., opened and edited it using 'Find Next' in Note Pad, saved and FTP'd it back and noticed no change at all. Attached, you'll find the altered gallery.template.php doc you had me change as indicated above.
I did this just tonight, a few days after the latest upgrade, which went smoothly. Any other guesses as to how to get things to ascend/descend correctly with numbers in the image title?

Check this out. http://zombiedeathhouse.com/horrorforum/index.php?action=gallery;cat=19I always set it up to order them by 'title, ascending' and this is what I get. It gives me exactly the same problem in reverse if you try to order by 'title, descending'. It has always done this, even with my main, really large gallery; I just didn't get around to asking about it until now. And yes, I have upgraded and it went flawlessly. Any ideas?

Well it's been a couple weeks, so I figured I wouldn't be completely out of line with bumping this up (at least I hope not). Anybody have any ideas yet on what I can do to get Gallery Pro to center correctly in FF and IE and to be the same width as my forum index with the Aa New Damage theme? I've been flooded with tons of other stuff to do so I haven't had much time to put any thought into it myself, not that I've ever looked at anything behind the scenes with Gallery Pro or anything (or would necessarily know what I'm looking at). BTW- Yes, I did upgrade.

If it helps to figure out how to get Gallery Pro to match the centering and width of my theme in Fire Fox and IE (haven't even begun to bother with looking at the gallery in other browsers yet), here is the style sheet and index.template for Aa New Damage: Again, any help would be appreciated.

I took a peek on the pages here, and I didn't see this brought up, so here we go. Is there a modification already available that I can tack on to Gallery Pro that allows something like this: http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/reviewsso viewers on my site can just jump right to posters from movies starting with letters of their choice? Here's my gallery: http://zombiedeathhouse.com/horrorforum/index.php?action=galleryMy apologies in advance if in fact this has already been brought up but I just didn't actually find it. I realize I could split things up into sub-categories, but then it displays '0' under Total Images on the gallery index. Also, it's just my opinion that one large gallery with a wide variety of search options is preferable to a gallery split up with a bunch of sub-categories; after a while, it begins to be too much to look at.

Glad it worked. Will look into the issue of importing pictures with batch add that have spaces.
That would be sweet, because then there would be no additional work needed to chop up words in order to have functional title search; especially handy with movie titles as file names for poster images. Also, with spaces being able to be retained, you could then work on auto-importing them into keyword fields, which would be even HANDIER. Again, especially handy with things like movie titles. Of course, I've only just begun playing with Gallery Pro; maybe some of this stuff is already worked out by others here.

Okay, I figured out what I was doing wrong with my FTP; I had spaces in some of my file names. Perfectly good for viewing on my computer, perfectly good for uploading through Gallery Pro's bulk add. NOT so good when trying to FTP for the sake of Batch Add. But now that that's fixed, the Batch Add function really is the way to go. So neat and easy, there really wouldn't be that much more work saved with zipping them up and zapping them that way. For the time being, Batch Add is making me a very happy man indeed. Again, thank you for a really sweet product. WELL worth the $50/year license fee. Happy to fork it over; and I'm a cheap-skate who doesn't say that often.

In Firefox, my message board looks totally fine; but Gallery Pro is having some trouble. It is narrower than the rest of the board and seems to be left-justified. In IE, it is still narrower than the rest of the board (like the upper portion), but it is at least centered. Any ideas on what to change, before I go digging around and screwing something up? Ideally, I'd like to have everything laid out the same as the message board index. Thank you.

Great, sounds good to me! All I have to do now is try to figure out why my transfers are failing. One folder, for instance, only has 20 images; but only one image in the bunch transfers successfully while the others fail. I'll have to tinker around with it a bit.
I'm using FileZilla. When I try to transfer one of the problem files individually, I get the same error: could not start transfer. I checked with my webhost, and the upload limit is 5MB on any one single upload.
But if I can get it to work, it looks like this will be almost as convenient as zipping them over.

Hello folks, I just bought Gallery Pro, and am loving it. It installed easily, and works great with my SMF theme. I appreciate the bulk upload feature, but am wondering if I can utilize it to upload a zipped file of pics. I want to put up a movie poster gallery on my message board, and have nearly 3,000 posters, organized in folders 0-9, A, B, ...,Z. If I zip each of these up, can I upload the zipped files so I don't have to select each file in each folder one at a time? My apologies in advance for being "that guy" who doesn't have the patience to wade through page after page of threads and search results to see if anybody already asked a similar question.
