It's a no go trying to upload it to the server that way for me..... the permission settings won't change I get a fileops error or something like that.

I can go into my admin panel and edit the file that way, it may just be something I won't add to my forum for now until i am more literate in where each code gets pasted into. thanks for the help and the mod, it would have been great if i could have got it to work easily. Just another reason why learning it would benefit me in the future.

Glad you got it working!

Well not yet actually..... i have my permissions set on my server, so it won't let me overwrite the file. I'm headed out for the day, but later will change the settings in order to allow the file to be replaced and let you know how it goes.

I am using 1.1.11

I honestly have no idea how to get the file to attach it. I wish i had a clue I usually go thru the admin panel, then edit them that way. I know i am not much help

I can get to where it's broken into 7 sections..... and says what line of code each section starts on if that helps. I just need an idea of where to paste each one...header and footer code. I know I'm a pain in the butt. I'll definitely make notes so i know how to do it again. ::)

By the way I use a template called snake if that helps

I am using a custom theme and would like to add the code into my theme header and footer but have no clue where to copy paste the code so my ads show up. Those are the only two places I really care about for now. Any help would be great

I get that i need to do it for them to work but where do I put them?  Everytime i go into those areas of my forum I feel like i'll screw it up.
