Support / Default License Agreement

Is there a way to have a default license agreement appear when a new download is added.

Basically I'd like to have a boilerplate that the download is for members only and may not be redistributed unless the author has given written authority, but with a user able to optionally add their own individual license agreement.

My only option is to go back. The changes appear to go through though, if I go back and check the downloads.

Support / Array Offset Value Type Null Error

We've just upgraded our forum to SMF 2.1.1, with the latest version of Downloads System Pro (6.0.1) are getting this error in our Error Logs when browsing through the downloads menu. The Downloads section seems to be working ok though. We upgraded from an older version of Downloads System Pro.

Support / Call to undefined function mysql_num_rows()

We are running 4.1.8 of Downloads Systems Pro, and have started getting the following error, for one of our membership classes

Call to undefined function mysql_num_rows(), when they try to download a file.

We are running php 7, and I suspect that this error is due to mysql_connect being deprecated.

Is there a fix available for this?

Bugs / Announcements missing a <br>

We've set up announcements, but when files are uploaded there is no space between the link and the text in the announcement. The link gets malformed as a result, and it looks untidy. We are currently working around it by adding 2 x <Enter> to create 2 blank lines in the description box of the download.

For example

A file link to http://contoso.com/file1 with a description

"This is file 1"

becomes

http://contoso.com/file1This is file 1

Support / Possible to make keywords required

Is it possible to mark keywords as a required field (ie someone can't upload a file without at least 1 keyword)

Feature Requests / Moderation of files, option to message uploader

For the moderation of files, we have a mod team that will be checking member uploads for a few things, such as description, keywords, file type (ie uploading an exe file and describing it as a picture).

It would be great to have an option when moderating to hold a file in the moderation queue but to notify the uploader that keywords need updating, before the file can be approved. Maybe change the status to pending. Ideally this can be entered into the moderation log so all mods can see the status.

PM notification is probably fine, with a pre-filled PM saying something like "Dear member, your file %filename, cannot currently be approved. The following is required before approval can be completed:"

And then the mod can add a quick note such as "Keywords require synth and object type as a minimum - please see <link> for details."

We are expecting quite a few files to be uploaded and I'd like to push the responsibility of filling in required fields to the uploaders, rather than the mods. We are preparing a document (and forum post) detailing exactly what is expected (which will be available from the <link> in the example above. Is this possible?

Support / Sort by custom field

Is it possible to sort by custom field? The column title when you display the custom field with categories doesn't have a hyperlink, like Title, File size, comment etc.

I've added a custom field to show which synthesizer is supported for a particular file, and it would be useful to sort by this so the end user can quickly find all of the files that are applicable to his synthesizer.

Support / Issuing Monthly credits - possible with SQL

Hi,

In our forum we two have main classes of members. We have "VAST Subscribers" and "Regular Members". We also offer the ability for users to buy download credits in packs of 100.

What we want to do is on a monthly basis, fill regular members to 10 credits (if they have less than 10 credits) and to fill VAST Subscribers to 100 credits (if they have less than 100).

Firstly, is this possible by running SQL commands, and if so what would be those commands (sorry SQL is definitely not my strong suit)?

Secondly, is it possible to automate those commands so they run on the first of the month, through CRON or some other mechanism?

Presales for Products / Domain Name for purchase

For the purchase does the domain name need to be the overall site domain or the specific sub-domain for the forum.

Eg my site is http://godlike.com.au, but the forums live at http://forums.godlike.com.au, which domain do I use?

Also do I need to do anything about the domain for our testing server (it's on a completely different domain and server), so that we can get it set up there for regular breaking and reloading... We trial any changes on the testing server, and test it before implementing on the production server.

Hi,

With the pro version of SMF Downloads system, is it possible to automatically recharge download credits on say a monthly basis?

What I want to do is for the regular members, allow say 10 downloads per month, but for paid subscribers allow say 100 downloads per month. Is this possible?
