Hi,
I've had my smf installation on 1.1.5 for a few years as someone else was supposed to take over as the main site admin. They never did, so now it's back to me to do the job. My licence for gallery pro has run out and I've lost the original email with the licence key. Is there any way to retrieve the key?
Also, I have now updated to smf 2.x but I don't think I can reinstall the old version of smf gallery pro, so while I am trying to find / retrieve the key, can I install the current lite version or will that cause problems?
Thanks

I had to move my site to a new host (tinyportalhosting.net) as my old host was unable to solve performance and availability issues with their servers.
tinyportalhosting.net moved the whole site for me to their servers and it all works fine, apart from uploading new pictures via the gallery (individual and batch).
The setting in the admin section is
/home/mmcukcom/public_html/gallery this folder exists is chmo'd 777
but when I or my users load pictures, they end up in this folder
/home/mmcukcom/public_html/gallery1 this folder exists, is chmo'd 775 and has no subfolders below it
None of the pictures loaded to this actually show up in the gallery, even though they are well below the max size.
All files under the gallery folder, which were there before the move, show fine in the gallery.

I get this when I upload files via the ftp functionality
http://www.mmc.uk.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=batchftp2 2: imagecolorallocate(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource File: /home/fhlinux173/m/mmc.uk.com/user/htdocs/Sources/Gallery.php Line: 5125
what does this mean? it occured together with two other errors
http://www.mmc.uk.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=batchftp2 2: imagecreatefromjpeg() [<a href='function.imagecreatefromjpeg'>function.imagecreatefromjpeg</a>]: '/home/fhlinux173/m/mmc.uk.com/user/htdocs/gallery/0/3_19_03_08_8_53_37_40.jpg' is not a valid JPEG file File: /home/fhlinux173/m/mmc.uk.com/user/htdocs/Sources/Gallery.php Line: 5109
and
http://www.mmc.uk.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=batchftp2 2: imagecreatefromjpeg() [<a href='function.imagecreatefromjpeg'>function.imagecreatefromjpeg</a>]: gd-jpeg, libjpeg: recoverable error: Corrupt JPEG data: 69327 extraneous bytes before marker 0xc4
File: /home/fhlinux173/m/mmc.uk.com/user/htdocs/Sources/Gallery.php Line: 5109
no idea if they are related ... I can understand the bottom two but not the first one.

I uploaded pictures via the bulk upload and got no errors. When looking at the gallery page, some of the thumbnails are missing, but when I go through the pictures one by one in normal size, the pictures are there.
see below screenshot for what the gallery looks like

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.
If I understand the batch ftp function correctly, I upload my pictures into the ftp folder inside the gallery folder and then pic them up from there via the admin panel
The problem I have is that I am completely unable to upload any file into the ftp folder. It is set to chmod 755 and I cannot set it to chmod 777. My host company said that I needed to enable SSH ... whatever that is ... however doing so does not seem to have made any difference
Any ideas what I can try next ...

I have just purchased SMF Gallery Pro. I had tested SMF Gallery lite on the site and it worked fine. According to the instructions I uninstalled it (no problem) and then installed the Pro version. The install went apparently without problems (if a bit slow), however the redirect at then end sends me to the homepage of my site instead of to the admin screen (both, waiting for it and clicking the redirect button). When I go to the admin section, I have no admin function for the Gallery (as I had with the lite version) The package manager says it is installed, however, when I try to uninstall, I get errors on ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english-utf8.php which was skipped during the install ./index.php ./Themes/default/index.template.php ./Sources/Subs.php ./Sources/ManagePermissions.php I do not use a custom theme, though I have made a change to the index file to accommodate a link to the coppermine gallery which I am trying to replace. The site is http://www.mmc.uk.com, SMF 1.1.4 with TP 0.98

I am currently using Coppermine in a SMF forum with Tiny Portal. I have a centre block that shows random pics from the Coppermine gallery, is the same possible with SMF gallery?
I have seen that the latest pictures can be displayed, so I am hoping it is.

I am currently using coppermine, however there are no user galleries and on the web server I basically have one folder per gallery (around 90 galleries in total) ... from the SMF Gallery pro description it sounds like I can import the pictures from those folders (there are hardly any comments so I am not worried about loosing those) ...
the question is, would I have to import folder by folder or is there a batch function that would let me load several folders into several galleries or even better create galleries from folders?
