Support / Deleting Empty Galleries

I just converted the original smf media gallery to SMF Gallery pro by updating to Avea, then using the conveter.

Now, tons of empty galleries appear and there's no way to delete them. They had been previously deleted as they are no longer forum members. Many haven't been for many years.

I don't know where these were resurrected from and there's no option to delete them as there was in smf media gallery or avea.

I read the post topic about this from 2014 and it said you have to know the member's id number. They don't exist because they were removed from the forum.

I have to get rid of these. There's literally 100 pages of them!

Support / Permissions to list ads and buy items

Since this is integrated with SMF forum, if you set permissions to allow guests to use the classified ads to sell and buy, do they have to register with the main forum, can they just register to the classifieds plug-in, or not at all?

I searched, and found that, there's no converter, in a post from 2017.

3 years later: Can I import all the albums, images and data to Gallery Pro from SMF Media Gallery?

I really hope so, I have 10 years of stuff in it!

If not, what do I do? Can I somehow spend weeks creating albums, downloading the photos, uploading them, then change the user ID in the database?

Support / Category and item image sizes not working properly

I added a category and uploaded the category image. Since I installed the newest version of the store, now the category images are resizing larger than the size I'm uploading.

When I add an item image they are doing the reverse... the thumbnail is resizing smaller than what I upload.

None of the category or item images uploaded prior to installing the latest store version have been affected.

Should I uninstall and reinstall the latest store version?

Support / Multiple qty order of a single item doesn't work - SOLVED

Although I have items set-up to buy more than one, with a discouted price for 2 or more ordered, the option is not working. No "quantity" drop down or input field to change the order quantity.

Users must use "add to cart", go back, and do it again each time to order more than 1 of an item and the discount does not apply. I have to make manual refunds through PayPal for the difference.

Presales for Products / Does re-size feature delete original image?

I see that there is an automatic image resize upon upload feature.

When the photo is resized, does it replace the original image in the server file or does it just add the resized image in addition to the original image?

I found that with this feature before, the original wasn't replaced, thus compouding my server disc space usage. I had to go into the files directly and manually delete all the original images. That was a real PITA!

Support / Undefined index error - usually happens with sort

I've been getting this error for quite some time and usually it has to do with "sort" as well. Any help to figure this out?

Support / SMF 2.0.4 security patch issue?

SMF just issued a security patch 2.0.4. upon installation, I've received this error and an assistant is unable to access the store front. It appears that the error is being generated due to something with the store mod:

Support / [smg id=xxxx] [limit reached] message when embedding in posts

I get this message after 10 photos have been embedded in topic posts. Not all of the 10 are in the same individual post. I've had this happen several times. There's no problem with how many are embedded when the photos are saved off-site, only with those which are in the gallery.

I don't know where to look to change this. I don't see any admin setting which looks like it applies to the number of embedded pictures allowed in posts.

Support / Transferring Db data from SMF Media Gallery 2.0.5 to SMF Gallery Pro

I've been using SMF Media Gallery v2.0.5 on my forum but I want to put SMF Gallery Pro on it (I'm also building a replacement forum for this older SMF Forum and I already installed Gallery Pro on it. How do I get the database info from my current database to the new one? I've been trying to dowload the tables individually but since the table names are different, I get a table not found error. Is there any way to capture this data and transfer it to the Gallery Pro tables?

2. The description of the changes say the Member Galleries are brought closer to being like the General Galleries. How so?

Feature Requests / Option to make user albums appear on gallery main page?

Many groups use their user/member albums much more than the general albums. I have like a couple hundred user albums vs. like 6 general albums.
Could there be a settings option to select either to show the general albums OR the user albums on the gallery main page?

In addition, the entire user album area should be like the general album layout, showing more than just a verticle "list" of single albums one above the next. This really causes viewers to have to go through page after page after page when browsing the user albums.

The layout would look much better and take less page flipping if they were able to be presented like the random and newest photos layout, set up like a grid, 3 albums wide and and a selectable total number to show per page.
