Yep, it ""works well"" because it just disables the whole PHPSESSID system.
But it obviously breaks the whole PHPSESSID original concept for tracking means. The thing is that SMF uses the PHPSESSID in a different way that Pretty URLs do. PHPSESSID is just a simple tracker that may refreshen in certain specific places of the site. I think that the mod should take in consideration when PHPSESSID is being written by the original SMF system in order to rewrite it accordingly, instead of rewriting it in all URL unconditionally. 3

After one week of research with the help of an SMF mod, I've finally figured out that Pretty URLs mod have a huge bug regarding PHPSESSID rewriting:
Here is the whole topic: https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=560904.0 I've tested with the SMF-Packs URL-rewriting system, and they do it the right way. PHPSESSID should not be introduced systematically in all URLs because since it is regenerated eventually, it creates thousands of new URLs that have to be crawled by certain bots. Some bots like GoogleBot have the "ability" to remove Canonical URL dupes, but others like Archive.org or Ahrefs doesn't, therefore, this makes that the whole system breaks regarding the ability to interact with Web Spider Crawlers (and also generates a lot of unnecessary load because this crawlers never seem to find an end).
