Support / licence information and question
« on: May 18, 2012, 01:06:21 pm »
Hi,

I've had my smf installation on 1.1.5 for a few years as someone else was supposed to take over as the main site admin. They never did, so now it's back to me to do the job. My licence for gallery pro has run out and I've lost the original email with the licence key. Is there any way to retrieve the key?

Also, I have now updated to smf 2.x but I don't think I can reinstall the old version of smf gallery pro, so while I am trying to find / retrieve the key, can I install the current lite version or will that cause problems?

Thanks

I use 1.3.23 with SMF 1.1.5 and TP 0.98.3

As I had not seen this behaviour before I did a little test. Originally I had the shout box set to not scroll and everything worked fine. After moving to a new host I activated the scrolling and got the problem. When turning it off just now, the problem disappeared again.

So, scrolling shout box = problem, static shoutbox = no problem

I have the same issue on http://www.mmc.uk.com. When viewing an image, the names from the shoutbox go across the whole page. And it only happens when viewing images, all other parts of the forum seem okay

would it be possible to add an image to each link? and have it displayed next to the name (above?)?

I have the same issue and creating the .htaccess as described does not work. So I've contacted my host to see what they have to say about it.

One of the mentioned topics said, that phpinfo would show whether or not it is installed. The result did not show anything.

Support / problem after moving site
« on: April 21, 2008, 03:21:19 am »
I had to move my site to a new host (tinyportalhosting.net) as my old host was unable to solve performance and availability issues with their servers.

tinyportalhosting.net moved the whole site for me to their servers and it all works fine, apart from uploading new pictures via the gallery (individual and batch).

The setting in the admin section is
Code: [Select]
/home/mmcukcom/public_html/gallerythis folder exists is chmo'd 777

but when I or my users load pictures, they end up in this folder
Code: [Select]
/home/mmcukcom/public_html/gallery1this folder exists, is chmo'd 775 and has no subfolders below it

None of the pictures loaded to this actually show up in the gallery, even though they are well below the max size.

All files under the gallery folder, which were there before the move, show fine in the gallery.

I get this when I upload files via the ftp functionality

Code: [Select]
http://www.mmc.uk.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=batchftp2
2: imagecolorallocate(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource
File: /home/fhlinux173/m/mmc.uk.com/user/htdocs/Sources/Gallery.php
Line: 5125

what does this mean? it occured together with two other errors

Code: [Select]
http://www.mmc.uk.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=batchftp2
2: imagecreatefromjpeg() [<a href='function.imagecreatefromjpeg'>function.imagecreatefromjpeg</a>]: '/home/fhlinux173/m/mmc.uk.com/user/htdocs/gallery/0/3_19_03_08_8_53_37_40.jpg' is not a valid JPEG file
File: /home/fhlinux173/m/mmc.uk.com/user/htdocs/Sources/Gallery.php
Line: 5109

and

Code: [Select]
http://www.mmc.uk.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=batchftp2
2: imagecreatefromjpeg() [<a href='function.imagecreatefromjpeg'>function.imagecreatefromjpeg</a>]: gd-jpeg, libjpeg: recoverable error: Corrupt JPEG data: 69327 extraneous bytes before marker 0xc4

File: /home/fhlinux173/m/mmc.uk.com/user/htdocs/Sources/Gallery.php

no idea if they are related ... I can understand the bottom two but not the first one.

I uploaded pictures via the bulk upload and got no errors. When looking at the gallery page, some of the thumbnails are missing, but when I go through the pictures one by one in normal size, the pictures are there.

see below screenshot for what the gallery looks like
