I don't appreciate the snide comments about lack of support.
I assume you completely uninstalled Menu Editor Lite, right? And checked the box to remove all data associated with the mod?
I'm releasing a huge update to this mod as soon as SMF 2.1 is released in RC or stable. It'll be smart enough to import or delete Lite data while installing pro. Hopefully I can also clear up issues with the built-in caching system I wrote. Also since 2.1 has jQuery, all jQuery will work correctly.

I'll look into this for you here shortly. What other modifications do you have installed? There seem to be a lot of jQuery conflicts with other mods.

Check your forum caching settings.

Hey there rexall,
It is possible, but there's a hack you'd have to do to make it work like that. That'll be in the next version that I'm going to push out as soon as SMF releases 2.1.

Hey Dasher!
Sorry to hear about that, and sorry for the late reply here.
Have you tried clearing the caches in Menu Editor Pro?
Best Regards, Matthew P. Kerle

I have a resolved package, I need to test it and verify that it resolves these issues and then I can release it. Can you verify for me what version of PHP you are running?

Most definitely. It can modify any menu button that is already present within SMF. Whether it's an original button, added by a modification, added by a hook, and so forth.

Sorry for such a late reply.
First of all, no. There have been no other similar experiences with this modification, or any of my modifications. WordPress is known to be one of the biggest security hole filled software, while SMF is known for it's security, and my modification is an extension of that quality and security. I have had other good programmers review my code and none of them have come up with any security flaws - and I haven't seen or heard of any either.
If he has actual proof, I would love to see it. But I doubt there is any. It's way way more likely this is a WordPress vulnerability again.
Best Regards, Matthew P. Kerle Former SMF Developer

It might be nice, but it's at the very least two more modifications to SMF's files.
I can think of quite a few things that are actual features that could be added - such as support to show or hide certain buttons on certain actions, or boards, and so forth. I have a whole list of updates to implement actually, most are features, but a big fix will be to redo the whole caching functionality so it doesn't hinder updates and mod installs - it'll add a section to the package manager which is going to be a big update.
While it would be nice, I can't see myself spending the time to add this feature unless enough people wanted it, or someone paid me to add it for my time.

Honestly I've not had time to shoot out any updates yet. But after I complete another big (private) SMF modification that I'm working on, this will go on one of my burners to work on in some of my free time (I do have one update ready, but not released.)
I don't understand what the second feature you're wanting is? You're wanting to be able to select which menu items a group can see, when modifying the group? That's not going to happen.

SMF Packs' Mentions modification probably over-rides jQuery in Menu Editor Pro. Check the console of your browser for any JavaScript errors.

That should not be happening. My guess is that it is because of the strict standards issue. I have a patch out, I just haven't had time to publish it yet. I'll get it out here shortly.
