Support / Issues with new Newsletter Pro installation

I have been using my (V3.X) Newsletter Pro without issues on my old SMF 1.1 Board. But having it installed on SMF 2.0.17 now it gives me two issues, obviously not parsing / Saving content.

Entering a message says message missing

An Error Has Occurred!
You need to enter a message

Enterging a subject says Subject is missing

An Error Has Occurred!
Subject is required

Modifications Talk / Contact Page Mod Not Working

Hell, I installed this Mod oon a SMF 2.0.17 board but whenever I go to the contact page I get a session verfication error. Strange. This mod shpuld be pretty straight forward I guess and I had it working on a SMF 1.1 Board before. I did allready rename the session cookie and made sure all login files have the hidden season vsalue field fixe applied - but no luck.

Any hints or suggestions? Thank you, Nicole

Support / How to display Items from Subcategories within Parent Category?

I have one very important qiestions concering classifieds (but same issue applies for downloads, links directory & store as well)

As the scripts are set by default, they will allow to have a parent category and within it subcategories.

Hopwever if we go to the display of a parent category it will only list items whoch have been directly placed into this PARENT category but will NOT display the items contained in the sub categories of this parent category.

I feel the better approach - like eBay does it as well - is to list / show ALL items when going to a parent category.

To give an example. Let's say we have the Parent Category

- Car Parts

Its Sub Categories are for example

- Breaks
- Tiers
- Seat

Now going to the Parent Category "Car Parts" ought to show all items contained wihin:

- Car Parts (Parent Category) AND its Subcategories Breaks, Tiers, Seats

NOT Just the ones whoch had been directly placed into the Parent Category

Hello,

I have been playing with the classifieds mod and am missing three features whoch I believe should be added:

1. Make offer Option

A bidder can send an offer for an item with buy it now option. Seller can accept or decline the offer

2. Watch feature

A member can add and remove items to a watched list. Watched items are displayed on a watch items page

3. Won / Sold Items Page

I feel this is the most cruical thing that would need to be added to this otherwise very nice mod. When a buyer buys an item it should get displayed on a seperate page where tehy can keep track on all their bought/ won items

A seller on the other hand would need to have a page showing all his sold items (with the buyers handle) and can mark the paid / or unpaid.

Support / Server Times out 504 ...

Hello,

I have just tried the Newsletter Pro Mod for the first time now and am getting 504 errors unless I drip the recipient list to maybe 50 eMails. My dedicated server has 16GB ram and is protected by an Anti-DDos proxy.

What I am missing the feature that the maile will put a delay between the sending ... saying 2.5% sent ... 5% sent ... 7% sent ... etc. - like in the deault newsletter mailing built in SMF 1.1.X

Does the Pro Newsletter no longer support this or am I making something wrong?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as cutting down 20.000 recipients into 50 Address heaps is no option

I have been using the Newsletter Pro Mod with great pleasure and enjoy its built in WYSIWG Editor.

I have wanted a WYSIWG Editor for SMF 1.1.X for a long time. There is one from another paid mod site which I had bought but it is very bugged.

So I wondered if smfhacks.com could offer this product as a paid mod? The editor should work with the "select quoted text" mod and be implented in these ares:

- Quick Reply
- Post Reply
- Post / Reply to Personal Message

I would pay USD 40.00 for this product.

Support / Upgrading from 2.0 to 2.5 - Manual Edits

Hello, I would like to upgrade my 2.0 to 2.5. Is there are change log with the needed manual edits? Since my current shop has been modified I would need to appyl those changes manually in order to keep my modifications. Thank you, Nicole
