If I upload a Category Image and subsequently delete it, uploading a different image always displays the original one.
I can see the uploaded image in forum/downloads/catimgs. If I remove it from that folder, the category image disappears. But uploading a new image displays the original.
Same when I choose Delete Image when editing the Category. It then disappears but a newly uploaded inage reverts to the original!
Downloads appears to retain a "link" to the originally uploaded image somehwere?
How can I change the category image?

In Gallery Pro, there's the option to automatically create a post on a nominated Board and Topic ID.
There appears to be a similar feature in DownloadsPro but the TopicID is replaced with Topic Prefix:
"Information: If you select a board, on a new download that is approved a post will be created."
What needs to go in Topic Prefix? I've tried using the Topic ID but this doesn't create the required post.

Just installed DownloadsPro. Useful addition for my forum.
I have 2,000 files I want to upload. Is there a bulk import similar to Gallery Pro?
I'm assuming the FTP option is the route to go but how do I "map" the files to DownloadsPro?
The import are txt files where the file name is used for the Title and also for the description field.

Gallery Pro 9.0.3 SMF 2.0.18
An issue has appeared today affecting those with permissions to upload pictures. Admin doesn't have the issue which is as follows.
When selecting Add Picture the next screen allows the uploader to select a Category from a dropdown. All available categories are shown.
Having selected a Category and then Add Picture, the next screen no longer shows the selected Category. Instead it shows "Select Category" and the dropdown is restricted to only seven Categories. Consequently most uploaders can't see their own Category to which they can upload pictures.
I've not made any changes to Gallery or the Forum. Nor can I see what could have changed to cause this?
Can you help?

Is it possible to search on the uploaded file name?
For example, a BMP file has been uploaded and named:
EALb772.bmp
The uploader added a Title:
Eastern EAL B772
Searching for:
EALb772.bmp
....returns no result.
Can we add a check box option to also search on File Name?
Thanks.

The Bulk Upload Many Pictures option is used a lot by my forum members. Typically using the maximum of 15 images at a time.
One of my regular contributors has asked if it's possible to (optionally) set the title to use the file name? This would save time by not having to enter the Title.
For example if the Upload Picture file is named:
AAL-A319N744P.bmp
The Title would be the same.
Perhaps this could be a check box option at the bottom of the Bulk Upload page, something like the attached?
If a Title is used for one or more of the Bulk Uploads, this would be used even if box was checked.

I changed the number of files from 10 to 15.
But when I added 15 pictures for upload, only the first 10 loaded.

Before I launched Gallery Pro on my forum, I bulk imported over 60,000 images. These were placed into categories, one per image creator. Typically thousands per creator. This was a one-time process and new images are being uploaded by the creator to their relevant category with a custom field displaying the author's name.
Members are doing searches and mentioning results don't show the creator for bulk imported images. I appreciate the author couldn't be attached to the bulk import (see earlier post).
However, is there an option to display the category under which the image is stored?

I can't be too sure if this worked before or not?
If I check a Membergroup Permission to "Bulk Uploads" the feature is only enabled if I also check "Personal Gallery".
Should this work without checking "Personal Gallery"? I'd prefer not to allow the option to upload pictures to a Personal Gallery.
If I don't check "Personal Gallery", the member can only add one picture at a time. The screen goes directly to Add Picture, third attachment.

Does the Search support wildcards?
For example if I wanted to find all picture titles beginning with "G"?
Tried "G**" without success.

I have some parent and child galleries.
Is there a setting that enables the total image count of the child galleries to appear against the parent?
See attached. It appears "Rikgale" has no images whereas there are over 5,000 in his child galleries.

Is there a setting which will restrict a picture uploader to a specific category?
I have a Membergroup that can upload pictures and have set Categories for each member of that group (approx 10 members). But they can upload pictures to any of the Categories. Ideally I would like to restrict them to Uploading, Editing and Deleting only pictures in their assigned Category.

I've set a Custom Field in Manage Categories with the intention of adding an image Author to uploaded images.
This works if I add a Single Picture but not when I use Import Pictures or Bulk Upload Many Pictures.
Do I need to do anything else to make this appear for all pictutures?

I was testing the Posting Option when adding a new Category to set a Board and Topic ID to post the new, approved image.
This worked OK.
Then I deleted the image and the original topic, including previous messages, has disappeared. This may be a bug?
If I try to view the original topic I get the message:
An Error Has Occurred! The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.
The topic and messages are in the back-end database but I can't view them in the forum.
Two questions:
1. Is this a bug or feature, where deleting a single or multiple iamages "hides" the original topic? 2. Can I make the topic visible again, minus the messages associated with the deleted image(s)? If so, how do I achive this?

It appears a Search string must be greater than three characters.
I have nearly 70k images to upload, mostly aircraft silhouettes and airline logos. The key search criteria will be airline and aircraft codes allocated by the International Civil Aviation Organization, most of which are three characters.
Is there a way the search could be setup to search on three characters, for example "three or more" rather than "more than three"?
