Support / Download2.template.php ad placement?

I'm trying to find the correct location to put the ad code for two locations.

1. Under the title bar on the category page.
2. Under the title bar for the page you go to once you select a category.

I have attached some screen shots with arrows to help show were I'm talking about.

In the image I attached I have a appliance parts search box that i would like to display at the very top of our site as I pointed out with the red arrow.

Support / Error: You need to enter a download title.

Seems I run into this problem some time ago, but after some searching I can't seem to find the solution.

When I try to upload a 16.7MB file I get the error message, "You need to enter a download title."

Even though I have entered a title.

Seems smaller files I can upload just fine without getting that error message.

Under my upload file text box it says,
Max Filesize is 95.37MB

So I don't know if it has anything to do with the file size or not.

We also switched our host to coreISP and everything has been working great, but was wondering if this error could be the result of any type of setting our host would maybe need to change.

Support / Form code don't work in all locations?

Hi,

Here is something I have been meaning to ask you for some time now.

We use a form for a parts search box at the top of our site. It works great if I put it anyplace at the top of our site using Ad Seller Pro.

But if I take the same code for that form and try to place it using Ad Seller Pro in locations, After First Post or After Last Post it shows up fine, but the form don't work.

I can enter a model or part number in the search box and click the search button, but nothing happens after that.

Any idea's why?

I should have asked were do I put the code that I get when creating a new ad location?
I already know how to create a new location so I get the code. Just not sure where to put the code now.

Support / Blocking spiders and search engines from downloading our service manuals files?

When I open up our download section for guest to use I take it that spiders and such are also able to click the download button and I'm concerned that will increase our monthly band width usage. Is that correct?

I have put a daily limit of three downloads for guest and a wait time of two minutes between downloads, but is there anything I can do to keep spiders and such from downloading our files?

I want google and such to be able to view the download page yet, but just not download the .pdf files we have on them.

What do you think?

Support / How to make it so people have to use the download button?

I opened up our downloads so 'guest' could download now too with a limit of three downloads a day with two minutes wait time.

When you right click on the download button and 'copy link' you get (in this example) a link like this.

If that link gets posted in another forum people can download without ever visiting out download page at this link.

I have hotlink protection turned on in cpanel, but that does not seem to stop anyone from being able to download using the first link I posted above.

How can I protect our downloads so they can only be downloaded by using the download button that is on our site?

Support / Post count of 1 before they can download?

I have it set up now so guest can not download, they have to register first.

How can I set it up so members also have to have a post count of 1 or more before they can download anything?

Support / How to change bookmark/favorite name of index.php?action=downloads

In download configuration I have set 'Custom Downloads Name' to 'Service Manuals'.

Now when you bookmark or add the download page to your favorites it saves it as...

ApplianceJunk.com - Service Manuals

I would like to have it so it read just 'Service Manuals' when you bookmark or add our index.php?action=downloads page to favorites and does not include the 'ApplianceJunk.com -'

Is there a file I can edit to make that happen?

Support / Database Error?

A few times though out the day I get errors like this in the error log.

I just started checking the IP address that go with them and they always seem to be from a search engine, such as google or yahoo.

What should happen when someone reports a download?

With a test account I used the report download, but as admin can't find where it's been reported.

Should I get a email, pm or some other type of report when a member reports s download?

Presales for Products / Ad Seller Pro does just what I wanted.

Wanted to share how we are using ad seller pro.

The attachment is just a snap shot of the test sit right now, but it's how I will display our ads on the live site soon.

I'm very happy with how I was able to display the google adsense 728x15 at the top of the page.

Guess I would be able to hard code the ad in the location too, but what I really like about ad sense pro is how I can easily swap out our "Search for Diagrams & Parts" search box.

I created two ads for the parts search box, but they each lead to a different part supplier. After we reach a certain dollar amount for the month with one parts supplier I like to switch over to the other.

Each parts search box ad looks exactly the same and ad seller pro lets me easily switch them out with each other.

I know ad sense pro can do a lot more then what we are using it for, but wanted to share how happy I am with it so far.
